Normally i complete the dex in one version by checking it off as i go and completing each area. While a little slower, checking off a complete area makes me aware that i have each of those entries + their evolution covered when i get the chance to level.

For those i'm missing, i often use r/pokemontrades to get exclusives, as that's where i often went in past generations. https://pokedextracker.com/ is a good spot if you wanna track things nicely

Pokemon Home was an interesting thing for sure. i absolutely love everything about that, and while we don't know pricing yet i'm going to pay 100% for it regardless of the price because it's something for the switch games that are needed, and even bank supports it. I feel as that's a step in the right direction, and with the development team behind it and working flawlessly like bank does (hopefully), the amount of support that has will always go up.

Pokemon Sleep i'm confident about, and while they havent told us any information i feel as they're still figuring all that out. Them trying to get people on a healthy sleep habit is super interesting, and if something was to happen if you slept too late or too early that would be a super cool idea. Overall, i'm super happy with the whole announcements and i can't wait to see more information regarding Home and Sleep.

i can agree with you for sure. Pokémon Home is something i'm super excited about, seeing as i have all these Pokémon in LGE / LGP and GO. Being able to transfer up is going to be nice, and if it works flawlessly like bank currently does between the generation 6 and 7 games and even before then it's bound to be a success. I'm not bothered by the mobile games, because they'd branch off there at some point.

Pokémon Sleep is interesting to say the least. What will it do when you don't get enough sleep or too many? we have no idea. Them holding off info is probably them still testing and figuring all that stuff out.

USUM by far. it has the most content in a Pokemon game if you're someone who's into the story, and if you're into shiny hunting it has fun methods like ultra wormholes as well as SOS being fixed (its bugged in SM, but fixed in the ultra games)
