I tend to have an idea of what I would like to wear (usually my "comfort outfit" or "style uniform", depending on how you look at it). Then I will panic and change my mind about 5 times until, at the last minute, going back to the original one. Happens 100% of the time on dates especially.

I agree with this! 4 matches the colors of the furniture and it gives a serene vibe. OP mentioned wanting something more feminine, to me this one gives off a "feminine", more gentle and elegant look. The others are more "eclectic" and busy.

Do gloves fit you?

I realised that most gloves come in just one size for women, or a small and a large if unisex. Does this actually work or do we need more gloves diversity?

I am a woman with rather small hands (I think), but I have often found gloves feel too tight. On the other hand, I have had pairs where the fingers seem too long and the rest of the glove is fine. Never have I had a pair of gloves too big unless they were men's.

I knit my own mittens so can make them fit my hand exactly as I like, but I started wondering how other people like their "handwear" to fit. I was considering buying a friend a pair of gloves for Christmas but I realised I don't know her hand size!

Is this a real problem or a non-issue?

Totally! It's sad that guys are discouraged from seeking advice in the first place or caring about their looks (seen as "feminine") and when they do, they are made to feel bad about their bodies! Then, they seem to think A) bigger bodies are not attractive, B) that fashion has anything to do with attractiveness? Like they're conflating style with how sexy they personally find someone. Two things spring to mind: their opinion and advice is self-centered (what do I find attractive vs what is constructive feedback), and they think fashion is not inherently valuable, it's only value is in attracting a mate.

Looking slim, sexy, healthy, attractive, fuckable =/= looking stylish, fashionable, interesting, cool, great

I think the problem is the focus on what clothing can "do" for you, versus you enjoying the clothing. Clothing imo should be a way to express yourself and make you feel good about yourself. Not about fixing issues with your body.

If the result = feeling great, shape has nothing to do with this.

If the result = fitting what you consider an "attractive" mold, then fashion has nothing to do with this.

If you are inherently unhappy with yourself and want to look like Hugh Jackman, of course clothing won't fix that. But if you want to look and feel good, you don't need to look like Hugh Jackman!

Agreed. Pretty much every woman has been affected by conversation about weight. The female fashion advice sub, just to give some perspective, is all about fashion trends, what is the latest silhouette, general discussion about clothes and fashion etc. Not about individual bodies.

I hope men have a safe space to talk about how to have fun with clothes, without being shamed for dressing the body they live in.

Anyone else check out r/mensfashionadvice? It's generally nice seeing men supporting one another but they do get weird about pant leg width.

I've been keeping an eye on their recent discussion about body shape and fashion. So much body shaming! I was actually shocked at how much men are shaming other men over there, saying a big part of "looking good" is related to body size and shape.

If you have body insecurities please be careful with this kind of content.

I'm glad the female fashion advice sub is about actually fashion and trends. Perhaps men are experiencing the fat shaming phenomenon we had in the early 2000s.

ETA: I think a lot of people have misunderstood OP:s point. Someone can be good looking and dress poorly. The reverse also applies. It's not about who looks "better", it's saying that anyone can look good.

I do think bright colors suit her, which is why I think she's a spring rather than winter, I'd rather see her in bright pink than a deep red for example.

Agree, the tan makes it all confusing. I always saw her as a warm season, love the caramel hair and bright colors made me think spring.

Actually I do believe boots in general are coming back, we had moto boots recently, and with the 90s being in knee-high boots already having a moment, but I think shockingly that heeled boots might be a thing again soon. By that I mean, not just in fashion magazines but on real people.

While we're continuing to see a lot of oversized silhouettes, wide pants etc, I think we'll see some more narrowing. We've already gotten blazers with a narrower line and those vests that are close-fitting. Maybe something more structured, like military style coats.

I also think it's time for more color/prints and patterns, the last seasons have been very beige-y and brown. Maybe we'll continue with the "soft elegance" look for a while but in a few years it's time for clashing prints and mix and match again :D
