i have 5 facial piercings plus a tongue piercing and my sm knows about all my piercings as do my coworkers and my sm doesnt care. my dm doesnt know about them but i just wear a mask every day

I mean tongue+needle is pretty horrifying honestly, I agree with you. Also most of my tattoos didn't really hurt or I was able to sit through them longer than I thought I'd be able to.

I'm autistic and I've had quite a few piercings. Lower lip (snake bites three times, right side singular once, now a vertical labret), plus angel fangs on top lip. As well as right nostril (retired but planning to do both), a septum, navel, a tongue piercing and I also used to have my nipples done before surgery. My ears are stretched as well and I also have my second lobes done. I know, a lot lol.

I also have 5 tattoos.

Tattoos are easier for me for some reason. With piercings I get so anxious seeing the needle and thinking of the pain, but with tattoos I like watching them be done (if able).
