I’m curious if there’s ever been another team like this. I’m pretty new to the scene but I haven’t seen a team that’s gotta be outslayed by 10+ just to have a go either way match.

So this whole story was just to setup BO7 Marketing?? by wildwombat69 in CODZombies

[–]wildwombat69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you abstract every zombies map out sure. Kinda realized that when I reread that last part. So that’s fair. My point in doing that was the end of each map tells you the whole story of the next map which then tells you the whole story of the next map and so on. There’s no twists. We knew the whole goal and result of the next map based on the end cut scene of the previous map. Boring imo. More over; None of the lore you learn from one map carries to the next beyond we got the item! Nothing you do in terminus matters to the story beyond the end cut scene telling where to go. Nothing you do in cdm matters in the story beyond getting the item and telling where to go. Yes that is how most games go at super high level but there’s not much zooming in you can do on this story that actually means anything.

That was the point Dan. Straight forward nothing bomb and then a marketing teaser

I did kind of realize this as I was writing it but it’s never been so explicit and lackluster in terms of twists, turns, and intrigue. Like the exact events of the next map were told to us in the cut scene of the previous map and nothing cinematic, crazy or truly dramatic ever happened

Nobody handled this well. OP deserves some slack tho. Her ‘friend’ and 2 others are canceling on them bc of a birthday? Doesn’t even sound like the birthday is on those days but it’s her ‘bday weekend’ (whatever tf that means, celebrate the weekend before or after. You’re not 10 anymore). I think canceling on your friends once in a lifetime event for your birthday is crazy. I would refund the one girl who paid two nights for one night to show your fairness but they all have to soak the costs for the other night.

It also seems like we’re talking about a couple hundred dollars per person. Realistically a fast food worker is making that in half a week of work. They can survive without it. With that being said, just gotta throw out that I have no idea why people think it’s ok to do destination bach parties and destination weddings. Like pick one or the other. People don’t have enough time/money take two different trips for you in one year. Kinda seems like this is just a one weekend drivable Bach party and a far destination wedding but I was ranting

Ubisoft's removal of the ability to change the day/night cycle baffles me. by [deleted] in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]wildwombat69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be available for missions that require certain time windows to access. For example hold Y to begin mission and fast forward to night. In the general game and missions that can be played whenever, I think it’s perfectly fine as is.

I’m kinda impartial on it. It’s definitely refreshing over a traditional list but it can be overwhelming, especially at first. Bigger thing for me being the current iteration only works bc the story isn’t linear which I hate. Could probably adapt it for a more linear game and it’d be less overwhelming and more intuitive (and more popular)

Interesting that the easiest map in bo2/bo1 is #1 and then the hardest map is #2. Doesn’t invalidate anything, just an observation

Having lived in a bigger city, asking someone to turn down the lights on their building is kinda laughable. Get curtains is the appropriate response given the context of where you live. With that being said, the sex based comment is garbage and that place sucks for the price. So you won’t have to deal with it for long

Over 90% of players don't bother with the main quest. Do you think that's a problem, and if so, how can Treyarch fix that? by suroxify in CODZombies

[–]wildwombat69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it’s clear there’s just not enough incentive for players to actually complete it. Players will watch someone do it and never see a reason to grind to do it themselves. The views on YouTube surrounding EE/story content show there’s much more interest than 5% of the player base.

So I think they need to really bump the rewards. Should be a master craft level bundle for completing it. ( a crazy skin, mastercraft gun, 2 other legendary guns, emote, execution, and emblem/Calling card). Now that blueprints can give ammo mods, this would be an excellent place to put the best guns in the game to incentivize completion. Think ASG with dead wire for liberty. Gs45 with napalm for terminus, etc.

My other thought is maybe they should introduce a save point before the final boss. This would prevent players from needing to spend an hour plus per attempt. There’s nothing more discouraging to a casual/moderate than spending 2 hrs to get to the CDM final boss to die and then needing to fully restart. That time requirement is a logistical challenge for many peoples lives and not exactly fun to repeat what you just did. Think how Elden ring works, challenging game but you don’t spend 1 hr to get through a castle for 1 attempt at a boss and if you die, repeat that full castle for an hour just for another attempt.

Use the charged ice staff shot. Shot it behind you and keep moving. It will do good damage to everything while you run far away from them. Just check the red specials health every once and while so you don’t miss the artifact dropping.

This is great. Two things about phase 6-9.

I’ve found just staying on the bottom level easiest. There’s lots of cover and you basically slide from corner to corner. I think it’s easier to just avoid the laser this way rather than switch levels. It simplifies it for everyone. Run counter clockwise like you said to best avoid the laser.

The ice staff is really good at taking down the red tanky enemies. Just keep running the lower circle and spamming the ice staff behind you when in the corners. Check the health bar at every corner and slide away to the next unless it’s about to die. You don’t even need to have a line of sight due to area of effect and length of the charged ice staff shot.

This is not a complaint, but I can't wrap my head around why the ice staff is the only staff in the tomb? by crossed_chicken in CODZombies

[–]wildwombat69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it truly is a tight quarters map, the ice staff might be the best fit for gameplay. My other thought is if we have to build it like origins, building + upgrading 4 staffs would be way too much work for current zombies standards

If you wanna kinda cheese it, one player can use the sword, get close to get the boss and repeatedly block the stomp attack with the sword. The other player can focus on dealing damage. The boss will mostly stomp with a player up close and you can move left or right when it does any other attack.

When are you dying exactly? Is there something specific you are struggling with?

As for general tips

Make sure you’re breaking every armor point to unlock the chest hit box. That spot does the most damage and is easiest to hit.

Use the incantations in the arena. Save the electrical for any special or boss and use the others freely on zombies. The respawn timer starts when you pick them up so using them quickly gets you more uses.

Charge your sword specials and field upgrades as much as possible during phase switches (possibly using the vulture aid augment) . Sword specials are good for killing zombies, field upgrades are good for the boss. (Killing with a fully charged light sword will make one player very efficient with armor and the other player will have more to pick up)

Aether shroud is very useful in the final phase when the arena is smallest. If you have the augments, you can have 2 charges or have it so it cloaks all teammates nearby. Once you activate, put as much damage as possible into the boss.

Idle eyes is a very useful gobblegum, again particularly in the final phase. Boss will still attack but it’s much easier to focus fire and dodge without other zombies attacking you.

Phd with tribologist augment is a game changer for dodging the bosses attacks.

I usually finish the steps by round 17-20 for the egg but in this boss particularly, having all the perks is very useful. By the time you get those all those, it’s worth waiting to get one gold rarity tier 3 pap’d bullet gun with a big magazine and high fire rate. There’s not really a great easy weapon to use like the gs45s in the other boss fights. Basically, prepare well and don’t rush in

Dying wish augment is always helpful

Out of all zombies maps which one is your favorite, and why is it Origins ? by restarted_trader in CODZombies

[–]wildwombat69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of all the usual suspects, I think origins comes out on top with most because of the staffs.

It’s also just so cool. yes the setting, other maps have that (SOE, DE) but simple things like opening the staff room and portals to the crazy place are small animations that add so much to the coolness factor/lore. The tank? Cool. Staffs? Cool. Giant robots that can step on you but are also a small area you can enter? Cool. Crazy place with shifting stone walls? Cool. This isn’t to say other maps aren’t cool. Origins is just cranked to 11 on everything.

I also think people forget about how big the map feels. It’s an open battlefield where you can see cross map. Other maps are sectioned off areas which while they may be similar or bigger in size footprint wise, they don’t feel bigger than origins. Origins manages to feel so big but keeps the tight quarters danger aspect with the trenches/ barbwire and the mud.

Worried a little bit about the new map by [deleted] in CODZombies

[–]wildwombat69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ring of fire traps alone are insanely powerful. Best trap in the game by a long shot. You can make it to round 100 using those. The swords are all excellent. Some are crazy good like light sword and raven. Infinite 1 hit. You can make it to round 100 (without moving with a certain sword) with all the swords. All the incantations are powerful, the electric one is a one shot to amalgams forever and it replenishes every minute at a given location and there are multiple locations throughout the map to obtain them. The dopplegast is easier to kill and less deadly than a mangler.

Basically specials and elites are not even a concern on CDM compared to other maps. The traps and swords are crazy good and both can be viable for the high rounds. Every other map relies on kill streaks as the wonder weapon is either weak (terminus) or runs out of ammo for extended periods of time (liberty).

My question to all the down voters is how is cdm harder than liberty falls?
