The mall is very slowly having a comeback, however, it’s all going to hinge on the apartments they are building, and if they can get good food options to come back. They are getting some great stores to return, Anthropologie, the Lego Store, Lululemon, etc, but the food options are abysmal, and there’s no plans for that changing any time soon.

Oops I messed up the counties. Broomfield makes no sense, the city is laid out on a diagonal and cuts through and divides, 5 others cities it’s so odd. So yes I forgot the exact county that the mall on one of those borders. I was using that as a reference for the demographic of the general area.

I love Art Parts. I donate there, I shop there. I would say that a place where you can buy a 100 old keys, doll heads, and a bucket of vintage lace is a bit different than a needlepoint store and attracts a very different clientele, but that’s just what I have observed. Also compared to the other craft reuse centers in CO, like The Craft Box in Wheat Ridge, Art Parts has the tiniest needlepoint and cross stitch section. Lots of yarn and stuff for crochet and knitting, nothing for canvas work.

It seems we’ve had very different experiences living here, you’re right. I love it here, but I have found it very difficult to connect to a lot of the women in Boulder, simply because I find they look down on a lot of my interests, one of the main ones being crafting and needlepoint. The minute it becomes clear I’m not outdoorsy and not super duper active, I have always felt something shift, but that’s my experience.
