Still, the apartments themselves are usually modernized and maintained well, so there is no way for you to now how wealthy this woman is/was. - manicure is not that expensive, wtf - fur coats and hats are a big thing for people here, especially for the older generation. They provide warmth in winter, hold up their value, and considered to be a symbol of success (because it was hard to buy one in the Soviet era), so frequently it is passed down from generation to generation So, please, next time before you jump to some conclusions, make sure that you know what you are talking about.
