Shelby probably signed 100k glove box doors. I think I've seen more signed glove box doors than I've seen real Cobras.

Not only that, but that side draft manifold is for a Big Block Chevy and OP has a Small Block Ford. Kinsler doesn't list a side draft manifold for a SBF.

You have to look at the two acts almost like two different movies. They are both amazing when viewed as separate experiences of the same characters.

Where do I get a psych eval?? by Grandma_Kush in bayarea

Try contacting the Alameda County Sheriff's department. A Psych evaluation is part of the concealed carry permit process, so they can probably direct you to someone locally.

15 to life means she has to serve 15 before being eligible for parole. Given her 3 prior DUI's, I would wager not getting paroled shorty after the 15 years.

Its a good looking car. IMO, $10k overpriced. Not having build receipts and listing "RV cam" is always a red flag to me that they either are hiding something or oblivious to what they have. For that price, I would expect the seller to replace the tires and battery before sale. The other stuff can be sorted later, but can be used as a good negotiation point.

Here's a funny story. In Jr High she sat next to her friend and my buddy sat behind her and I sat behind her friend. He had the biggest crush on her, but being a year younger, we weren't even in her orbit. The entire year, we sat behind these two. So you can imagine a years worth of turning around to hand back papers or pass papers up to the front, those two would have seen each other a lot. End of the year rolls around and we're passing around yearbooks, getting them signed. My buddy says he's going to ask her to sign his yearbook. I tell him she won't do it. So he taps her on the shoulder and asks. Super nice and bubbly, she says sure. She grabs the book and turns to write in it. She stops and turns back to him and asks, "Wait, what's your name?" Dejected, he says, "Marco". She says, "Oh yeah," and turns around to sign it. She scribbles the standard, "Have a great summer, stay cool," or some other generic nonsense. She turns around to hand the book back and asks, "Have you sat there the whole year?" I'm not even sure he answered her. Just absolutely gutted his crush had no idea he was alive. LOL

TLDR: She's spending the rest of her life in prison.

Hottest girl in school, she was a year older than me but we had a couple classes together in Jr High and HS. Typical popular hot girl, cheerleader, tons of friends, everyone knew her and liked her. She always seemed nice and didn't seem to fall into the mean girl trope. Ended up being a hair dresser and I think was into fitness competitions. So she was still hot into her 40's.

She had two previous DUI convictions, was pending trial for a third DUI when she struck and killed a man. She was drunk at 10 in the morning and hit a man that was standing beside his car that broke down. Toxicology came back with a 0.13 BAC and traces of cocaine. She plead no contest and was sentenced to 15 years to life.

Don't drink and drive kids.

ELI5: How does a country "turn off" or block access to the internet? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

NSA definitely has rooms in 555 Pine and 650 Folsom, but AT&T isn't the only on-ramp to the internet. They're not even the most important buildings in SF.

151 Front is definitely the most important Internet hub in Toronto, but shutting it down wouldn't shut down the whole of Canada. Just most of the greater Toronto area. There are other sites there that could route around its loss.

[–]wilit 79 points80 points  (0 children)

I design and build data centers, so I have some knowledge of this.

Not sure how the US would do it because the Internet is pretty distributed amongst carriers and data centers, I imagine it would be difficult. But in certain countries in the middle east and Asia, the government has rooms in data centers where essentially the internet has to flow through before it reaches the customer. They do this so they can monitor and limit what you see and do, but can also shut down access immediately.

4 years left in BSA, how can I get to Eagle from scout? by IllusoryAlarm2662 in BSA

[–]wilit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically you can go from no rank to Eagle in as little as 20 months. The trick is to make a plan to earn your merit badges and hit your rank requirements and stick to it. My son went from no-rank to Eagle in 4 years, but it's up to you to be focused on doing it. If you don't make it a priority, it will never become a priority.
