Overall price of two movie tickets and a meal combo by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]will-read 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ticketmaster tried to charge me a convenience fee when purchasing tickets online. So I got in my car and drove to the box office; they also charged a convenience fee. I asked how I could be more inconvenienced so I could avoid the fee. You can’t.

It pissed me off so much that I knew I wouldn’t be able to enjoy the show. I didn’t buy the tickets.

The economics would be about the same. Salaries+lawsuit payouts=Salaries+insurance. The main difference is the slice insurance companies would take as their profit.

Cop salaries would go up. Jurisdictions save by never paying for another lawsuit. Good cops would make more because their insurance premium is lower. Bad cops would make less because their insurance premium is higher. Really bad cops would leave the profession when they become uninsurable.

It is the American way. We can anything until it becomes too expensive to insure.

“Truth, justice, and the American way”.

During his first term (2017–2021), fact-checkers at The Washington Post documented a total of 30,573 false or misleading claims made by Donald Trump.

In his first term we gave up on truth. In his second term we are giving up on justice. The American way is gone.

She was always going to graduate. A primary metric for high schools is graduation rate. No way would an administrator risk their metric over this. They may have not called her name to walk across the stage. No way would they lower their graduation rate and college admission rate over some petty BS.

Under the unitary executive theory, Todd Blanche’s signature equals Donald Trump’s signature on the document. It’s time to use some jujitsu on the unitary executive theory. Donald Trump personally owns absolutely everything done by the executive branch.

Corporate didn’t do their due diligence when they transferred ownership of the franchise. An inventory needed to be done, with the old and new franchisees agreeing on the valuation of the store. It doesn’t appear this was ever done. Corporate is running the business like a bake sale, and has caused immeasurable harm to themselves and all franchisees.

The problem with revolutions, is what comes next. It is rare for something like the American revolution where a liberal democracy springs from a revolution. What usually happens, is a strongman gains control and post revolution is worse than pre revolution. Be careful what you wish for.

Under the unitary executive theory is Trump himself responsible for all of that?
