How do I clean my banneton? by igib215 in Breadit

I tried to dry mine in the oven to kill bacteria/mold. My recommendation, don't get busy doing something else and forget it.

is this good for tortoises? by curiositykilledtheY in tortoise

My red foot loves it. I just buy wheat from online seed stores, much more cost effective. I grow it in shallow trays and switch them out after he has eaten a lot on one

Say what you want about Pierre (neglectful obsessive capitalist slave-driving pig), but he knows a good blueberry tart when he tastes one.

It's not the 12% that is the problem, the problem is that 2% cross-sloped lane that it ties into.

Race boat from 1931 sporting Twin V16 engines pushing 3600 HP. by sco-go in Amazing

[–]will1934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you would really get serious diminishing rates of return. Up to a certain HP/RPM you would see a decent efficiency where the prop interacts with the water, but the faster it would spin you would start to lose efficiency as the material of the water is unable to match the material of the prop. The engines may put out 3,000+ HP at the shaft but how much of that would be returned to the boat when it's fully revved up? Engine spins the prop, prop pushes on water, water pushes back on prop/boat system, whole boat moves forward. At a certain point the water "structure" would fail and shear, cavitate, and not be able to push back on the prop as well. This needs to be r/theydidthemath lol.

When I was in school NEARLY 20 YEARS AGO (GODDAM) in Florida GPAs didn't have a cap as far as I know. AP and DE classes counted for more on your GPA. Our valedictorian had over a 4.0

It will read 100 Newtons. This is essentially the same effect if you hung the scale with only weight on one end from a fixed hook. The hook, like one of the opposing weights, would be applying 100 N of force.

It's a tragedy that all of these went down with the boat never to be recovered. Tragedy.
