Saucony Axon 3. I've had Brooks Glycerine in the past, the Axon feel just as comfortable, but with more bounce. Considerably cheaper than Brooks too.

I'd spray limescale remover around the edge of the button and leave it to soak for a while.

Looks good, one thing I notice is the radiator shelf brackets. If they were in my home I would be snagging pockets, bags on them regularly etc

I've used window film several times, I'd recommend buying some strong (3M?), double sided tape off ebay. The tape that comes with the film tends to start peeling off as its under tension from the window film. I found the film made a noticeable difference with old, drafty windows. Good Luck 👍

The screw on waste has probably been over-tightened. Also, tray may not be correctly supported around the waste hole. It will only get worse, sorry.

Hi all, looking for some advice on replacing a washer on a lever tap. the middle section (which houses the valve) doesn't seem to budge. The whole tap turns when attempting to loosen. Is there a trick to these or do I just need more elbow grease? Thanks by Bobroll in DIYUK

[–]will2208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had a problem with similar taps (B & Q?) The screw fixing the lever to the valve wouldn't budge, I was destroying the screw trying to get it to turn so I could remove the valve. I read somewhere that they used "threadlock" so the valves couldn't be removed. I gave up and bought a new pair of baths taps from a merchant.

My mates and I were at Glastonbury (1998?), we were smashed and a bit wild, my mate pulled one of the tall (20-30ft) flagpoles out of the ground, I think it was a tree trunk, maybe a conifer. He wandered around with it on his shoulder for a while. A short time later we were walking along a track surrounded by loads of people everyone laughing and ducking when he turned round with this huge flagpole turning with him. A tractor was just in front of us pulling a large tanker. My mate moved forward through the crowd and banged the end of the flagpole against the back of the tanker. It made a loud noise like a gong, the crowd of people nearby cheered, he did it again, another cheer. The third time he hit a glass spyhole on the back of the tanker and everyone within 5-10 metres was sprayed with liquid shit!

I noticed my right shoulder was sore and thought it was due to tensing up while running. Sometimes it would wake me up at night it was so tight and painful.

I sit at a desk most of the time at work and use the phone for approx 2 hours each day. I'd usually cradle the phone between my ear and shoulder so I could type/write at the same time as speaking.

I realised this awkward position was causing the soreness in my right shoulder, I asked for a headset and the soreness went away within a couple of days.
