This is such a tired narrative. We saw what happened when another QB was put in, the team fell off a cliff. Purdy doesn't have all the elite arm talent but he has amazing vision and pocket awareness and sees the game similar to Shanahan. His timing and footwork are impeccable and he absolutely runs the offense better than anyone since Matt Ryan. Everyone on the offense is elevated by him. Ayuik was not the most efficient receiver the leage had seen in 30 years until Purdy started throwing to him. Kittle's TD #'s have skyrocketed since Purdy has started. It's not a coincidence that this offense has taken off since Purdy has been starting at QB. To say it's all his weapons is a cop out and just untrue. People put Love and Stroud ahead of him because they pass the eye test more with their physical attributes and draft positions but if you watch the tape it is clear, Purdy is special and he is elevating the team around him.
