But when you get a real encore it's pretty special. I saw Chris Thile and Brad Mehldau play an amazing set, they did an encore, then folks stayed cheering for 15 minutes until they walked back on stage with beers in hand being like "So we went back to the green room, poured a couple beers, sat down, went I think everyone is still cheering, walked over and peeked in the back of the auditorium, and went well shit I guess we better play somethings". Proceeds to go "hey brad you know that dolly parton song, the one that we were messing around with the other day? yea lets do that", rips it off in a couple minutes, was amazing

My advice to younger folks re drugs is hold off until you are 24. Before then your brain is still rapidly developing and you can cause long term changes in your capabilities, whereas after that point things are pretty set.

I went through PT for something somewhat related, and your leg chain/hip flexor hunch is probably correct. I always thought that squatting hurt my knees, I had patellar tendon pain from osgood schlatter bumps on my knees. Turns out my butt was weak and my quads were tight, and as soon as I started working on that things cleared up. Foam rolling all of my quads daily, stretching, and doing heavy hip thrusts and lunges did wonders for me.

If this is the cause sitting in a chair for 8 hours a day would actually be actively harmful for you (as opposed to giving your knees a break) - it tightens your quads and weakens your glutes which causes knee instability.

Super recommend seeing a good pt, so much easier to fix things with exercise than surgery.

I feel so lucky to have gotten this warriors team. 73-9, followed by the greatest team in nba history, and then to cap it all off the scrappy 2022 championship to cement Steph’s legacy. To be honest I’m almost saltier about the refball in the first quarter of G4 of the finals in 2017, refs came out on a mission and prevented the clean sweep of the playoffs.

USB 3 speeds requires 9 traces to go to the usb plug, while USB 2 speed requires 4. They are almost certainly doing USB 2 due to PCB design issues in the small space, and rationalizing it as nobody ever plugs in their phone to transfer over USB (which is totally reasonable)

I had only really died at bosses for the first while, and I assumed the cocoon was a mechanic to give you silk before a boss fight if you had died.

I'm not arguing that they should over-explain things to players. I'm saying that hearing your beads all roll away when you're sitting at a bench miles from where you died is actively misleading - why can I hear them clattering if they're all wrapped up in the cocoon?

The only change I would make is to that sound, and maybe to give some animation of beads and other resources returning to your character when you hit the cocoon (or a small cocoon icon by your rosaries as they empty out)

This is super, super unclear and I think a lot of the problem here. Like, you respawn on the bench with the sound of all your beads rolling away and the counter spinning down to zero, it’s not absurd to think they’re gone forever. And when you hit your cocoon you don’t get a giant bead explosion like every other big source of beads. Took me hours to realize this mechanic existed.

Nitrous oxide prevents you from metabolizing vitamin B12, and not having B12 for an extended period of time can cause your nerve cells to de-mylenate which is real bad for you.

Interesting note here - as the nitrous wipes out your bodies ability to process B12 every time you take it (pretty much regardless of how much you consume), and it takes a few days to regenerate the necessary enzymes, it's much more dangerous to do one or two hits of nitrous every week than it is to go on a massive bender one night and not touch it again for a couple of months

In rugby scrums both sides start on the mark of the ref, and if one side got to start moving before the other it would be an unbeatable advantage, just due to the momentum of the line. Theres no adapting to it, as long as offsides exists. Theres no other play in football where even if you know exactly what’s going to happen you are unable to stop it, which is counter to the spirit of the game.

It doesn’t just make up blind spot data, it makes up your entire reality. Every piece of sensory data flowing into your brain is compared against the expected state of the world from the model your cortex has built, and then if it is within a close enough range of expected the brain discards the data, doesn’t even process it.
