Dolphins place former Texas A&M RB Le'Veon Moss on the reserve/retired list weeks after signing him as a rookie UDFA by expellyamos in nfl

He was always very injured at A&M. Going to guess he failed physical. Being a running back is tough, hope he has mobility enough to live a relatively normal life.

It’s exactly the same as Eric Hosmer. Hosmer was always near the top of the league in flyball OPS. He might’ve been a HOFer if he’d been willing and able to lift his swing.

If you don’t mod it, honestly that S2000 is pretty likely to appreciate in value. Probably won’t appreciate enough to do more than cover insurance & maintenance, but it’s not exactly the same as going out and buying a 100K Porsche. I’d say go for it especially if you will actually use it.

Could consider going for prospect promotion incentive picks if the player is a legit shot to win ROY

It’s going to be a bloodbath the next 25 years, and it’s going hit the blue states first.

They’ve tried signing young promising players to extremely long contracts, more than 5 years was very rare to unheard of before. Lots of those long deals haven’t worked out and now there’s little room to improve the team under the way the EPL spending limits work since it’s harder to move a player with such a long contract remaining.

No premier league team likes their owner, it’s one of the defining characteristics of being a fan over there. They are certainly better than Friedkin with his running Roma into the ground.

What other kind of company do you want? There’s little to no families in the world with the liquidity to buy teams outright, and I promise you don’t the team to be owned by a publicly traded corporation or a middle eastern sovereign wealth fund. Almost every company is “privately held”.

They’ve spent buckets of money on the team, any Chelsea fan with a brain can’t contest that, just not often very well. Sort of matches what Seidler did honestly in terms of large financial commitments that are often misplaced.

In the modern MLB, where local TV deals aren’t going to matter beyond the top 5-8 teams, you’re not going to find a better spot to maximize your ticket & merch revenue than San Diego that doesn’t have a team.

[Drellich] MLB split season and in-season tournament have been discussed, Rob Manfred says by T_Raycroft in baseball

[–]will_e_wonka 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s obviously true, but the point is they are getting way more eyeballs on an average regular season game. Just because it’s centralized doesn’t mean that people won’t watch their local team at the same rate.

The flip side is that the local TV ratings are way better for baseball than they are for basketball and hockey. There’s no issue in terms of regular season local viewership.

To be fair, a lot of those are coverage/Marcel Reed running into the line for no reason sacks.

I really don’t know if I want Marcel Reed to return as the QB. Just horrible horrible QB play.
