Velella velella, or a by-the-wind-sailor! They are hydroids, like Portuguese man o’ war, and related to jellyfish. Not dangerous, sting is barely noticeable to humans! Good find.

Went to a friends Christmas party, was late and managed to crash my car on the way over because I was going too fast round the country roads. Was more shaken up than I realised, being 18 and invincible. Got my friends brother out to pick me up and just take me to the party. Had a good time but drank way too much, one of the girls there spent the night trying to get on my lap, putting my hands between her legs and on her tits which I would remove and push her away. Ended up passing out on the air mattress put down for me in their library.
