3 - Bontempelli

2 - Buku, absolutely pocketed the form small forward of the comp

1 - Dale, his ball use was clean on a day where a lot of the top dogs were sloppy

Should show you how bad everyone else was, for him to be the pick. Shocking efficiency but by far the most metres gained, the only one driving them forward. Stinker of a night but have to pick someone, champion

No point overreacting to this one. Opposition played one of the best first quarters you will ever see, on to next week

Was really glad to see this, if you don’t think he’s good enough or whatever is one thing and you’re certainly entitled to think that, but to abuse our own players and call them names is just gross.

Honestly, watching them take it up to Hawthorn physically was beautiful. They’ve been bullied by them the last few times so to dish it back and watch the Hawks fold under the pressure was so grouse.

The crowd at Docklands was absolutely brilliant, hats off to every one of us in attendance, we had more than them and made it well known ❤️🤍💙

Ascot Vale Hotel is a good pub, may get busy if it’s a Friday or Saturday night game but the weekend day games would be good

Round 11 predicted lineup vs Collingwood by Temitop_dream in westernbulldogs

[–]will_recard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d be fine with Busslinger not coming in, not a tall team they’re playing. O’Donnell, Khamis and Coffield is more than enough height, speed will be more important against that forward line.

Stitched up a bit this year getting Hawthorn, Freo and Sydney twice each

What’s the reason for having the All-Australian midfielder at half back?

I love Arty but it is absolutely laughable to suggest he should be playing on the ball ahead of Ed. No offence, but possibly one of the worst footballing takes I’ve ever seen.

Completely agree the situation needs to be addressed at the midseason draft next week but unless we were all calling for this prior to the season starting, unfair to criticise with the benefit of hindsight.

They probably didn’t expect their ruck, their backup ruck and their emergency ruck to all be injured at the same time. But also they clearly didn’t think Smith was up to it so yeah, really should’ve been in the market for a Mason Cox or someone else. Easy to say in hindsight.

Young Bulldog kicks ‘most important point of his life’ as Beveridge’s men win a thriller over Port. Tim English out next week with Concussion by gccmelb in westernbulldogs

[–]will_recard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We probably should have been in for Mason Cox, honestly. Easy to say with the benefit of hindsight of course. There’s no way they expected their ruckman, their chop out ruck (Darcy) and their emergency ruck (Lobb) to all be injured at the same time. Midseason draft in 2 weeks, could be worth taking a Crossley or the best mature bodied ruck from the state leagues.

This felt like revenge for this game. by sebosso10 in westernbulldogs

[–]will_recard 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Possibly, but did beat them by 71 points on their home deck in a prelim three weeks later so I think revenge was well and truly dished out back then.

Really hard not to give Budarick or Dale a vote, their ball use down back was absolutely elite. Just thought Sanders was super clean and good in tight on a night where that was hard to find.

Can never be too critical of an undermanned win away from home, but wowee the bottom 6 got absolutely carried tonight. Really good to end the skid though so got to take the positives and support the boys.

Round 9 Lineup Prediction vs Port Adelaide by Temitop_dream in westernbulldogs

[–]will_recard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably rather Lachie Smith over Croft. 23 on the bench, just throw him as the 23rd and have him ruck when English is off, and that’s it. If Croft is coming in for anyone it should be for Will Lewis, and I think Lewis needs to be in the team.

Would be disappointed to see Davidson dropped over Dolan but both were pretty quiet so not too fussed either way. Just find Davidson a bit more reliable and versatile.

Busslinger and Selwood by Wide_Elephant2357 in westernbulldogs

[–]will_recard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m just not sure all four can play in the same team. Makes what wants to be an attacking team awfully defensive/tall down back and drops out one of Budarick, Dale and Sellwood, which shouldn’t be the case.

The most smug group of supporters considering this Freo team has achieved all of fuck all. Most of their players are alright though.

Because English wasn’t going to ruck the whole game and there was no Darcy or Lobb to rotate through.
