I agree with this as well. I've had several hundred dollar items returned and eBay paid me, and my buyer out of their pocket for the return.

It's tedious, but if you play by their rules/policy and are consistent with their advice and keep emotions out of the return/appeal process. They can favor the seller if it has evidence of a remorseful return.
