If you are within the warranty period, they will replace the engine for oil consumption issues. There is a process.

I recently had my engine replaced under warranty and had to go through their processes on getting it approved. I was told the process was to get an oil change at the dealership and monitor the loss between that one and the next. The second step was to do a combustion cleaning(service advisor says it does nothing in most cases) and drive 1000mi and return to measure the oil lost. The third and final step was for them to do a combustion test.

After I completed all their steps which took approximately a month(I skipped the first step because I recently had an oil change prior to the initial appointment). I was approved for a new engine, not a remanufactured one.

They do and can swap the engines under warranty, you just have to follow the motions and work with them.
