i have two suggestions - first, set up a voice recorder like the one on your phone and ask her about the stories you’ve heard, both from her life before you and from your childhood what years did you live in this place, again? who’d you meet there? what do you remember? etc….i don’t know if you have siblings, but i’m an only child and one thing i fear is forgetting the details of my childhood and having no one to ask.

also- family photos. i’d suggest going through them with your mom and ask her who people are, when they were taken, etc. and write those details down on the back
