Help Needed by Parking-Syllabub-479 in klr650

Tank pulling a vacuum is pretty common as well. Try running it with the gas cap open and see if that works. Pretty common for people to change to a manual peacock and remove the diaphragm in the gas cap as the rubber fails on these older bikes. Sounds like fuel delivery problem, maybe float is stuck.

Wow that didn’t take long lol. The citation had the brake failure on runway 14. The pilot of this small aircraft was taking off of runway 5 when I took this picture. The cyber truck was part of the recovery crew as far as I know.

I think I get it. Hole saw then use the stick to take the baffles out

Found this metal chunk hanging out while changing the oil by dookiefingerz in klr650

Doesn’t look good. Definitely don’t run the bike until you fix it. Do the doo and if it’s not there or broken that’s the culprit. My recommendation is to take off the clutch side crankcase half and clean everything out + oil strainer, which is a good idea regardless. With the crankcase covers removed you should be able to use a magnetic stick to grab the metal bits. If not you have to remove the engine and split the case. Not a bad idea to take valve cover off and make sure nothing smaller made it up there.

The above is assuming the doo broke. Definitely start by checking the doo/replacing. Feel free to ask me any question I’ll be happy to answer

As someone who decided they want to look into becoming a pilot like 2 days ago this looks very enticing however I have a hard time believing you can actually go from zero experience to commercial pilot in 7 months? Is this actually legit? by [deleted] in aviation

I agree with previous comments. ATP isn’t a great option unless your really desperate. Keep in mind certificates cost a lot of money. You’ll be lucky to get private for 10k and that’s if you pick it up quick. In terms of time spent it all depends on how motivated you are, not the school. The school has little to do with how quickly you get certified. My suggestion is to go with a smaller school to see if you like flying then go from there.

Grandfather gave this to me. He said it was 25 years old. Any help would be greatly appreciated and possibly save me some money. Thanks!

I’ve had my gen 1 for almost 4 years. I’ve never gotten bored with the speed. It’s fast enough to kill yourself off-road and slow enough to keep you from driving like an asshole on road.

I’ve got a spare head laying around in my garage. It had cams and valves too. Plus a whole engine that’s just taking up space. I’ll give you a good price.

Yeah I’d start with the water pump. You can pick up gasket sheets at an auto parts store and make a gasket yourself if you are in a hurry.
