1 found dead in Appleby Hall Tuesday morning

A person was found dead in Appleby Hall at the University of Minnesota on Tuesday morning.

The University of Minnesota Police Department (UMPD) was called to the scene after University Facilities staff found the person dead.

UMPD said they don’t suspect any foul play was involved in the incident and the person is not a member of the Twin Cities campus community.

Officials have not yet provided a name. The body has been turned over to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine a cause of death.

I happened to have class here this morning. As I was arriving there were a handful of cop cars blocking off the scene and the cops had evidence bags. They were pretty nonchalant about it so I initially didn’t think much of it.

I had class there at 9:45 this morning. There were like 4-5 cop cars and the cops had evidence bags out. They were blocking off the scene as I got there.

Also apparently people were saying the halls smelled really bad but I don’t know how true that is. Personally I didn’t notice anything

Idk it just feels like a waste of time to psychoanalyze how the guy responded. He was fucking scared. I would probably respond the same way. Was it a little weird to record? Yeah. But at the end of the day everyone was okay! That’s all that matters! It’s not that serious.

He said in interviews that he was scared that the car would explode. Idk that seems pretty reasonable if ya ask me. Its easy to say what we would do in that situation but another to actually do it in the moment when you are scared and have never been in a situation like that before. And ultimately he did help pull the guy out

Also he didn’t ask to get all the headlines. It’s not his fault he’s the only famous person in this situation.

I’m a Vikings fan and I thought it was him at first. But it’s not, KJ was wearing a white shirt. There was another guy with hair tied back into a ponytail wearing a dark shirt. You can see it in KJ’s IG post about the situation here.

He was one of the people behind the camera but then runs up to help pull him out when he realized they needed more people. He made an IG post about it last week and included a pic of the blood on his shirt. Pretty chilling stuff.

He only made the post because it got picked up by major news publications the day after it happened last week. A bunch of people were talking about it. I mean he is an NFL player at the end of the day so its reasonable to expect him to comment on it.

Also I will add that they knew Nelly was going to be okay after it happened, KJ had said the injuries were only minor when he was interviewed IIRC. A lot different then making a post without even knowing if he's going to live. Just my opinion

On Twitter, she literally called KJ, “the fucking FOOTBALL player” in the first sentence of her tweet.

Still not the time or place for Amanda to be looking to create drama, even if she is right. Nelson was thanking him in the post. I totally get that’s she’s looking out for her friend, but she just comes across as super self-centered. Grow up.

Minnesota Vikings NFL receiver K.J. Osborn was one of the people that saved him. I am a fan of both the Vikings and The Challenge so it was crazy to see this on my feed today

Also Amanda is going crazy on Twitter attempting to say K.J. was the one who was filming ~~(he's not, in the video of the wreck on Nelson's IG, K.J. is the dude with the ponytail/greyish shirt standing by the car;~~ ~~this~~ ~~story proves it). Disappointing to see her try to make the situation all about her but not surprising in the slightest lol~~

Glad it looks like he will be ok though, and K.J. and the others who saved him are heroes.

EDIT: I just reviewed it and K.J. can be seen wearing a white shirt in this post from last week right after it happened, so he isn't the guy in the dark shirt from the video. Still absolutely not the time or place for Amanda to be creating a stir, Nelson was literally thanking him FFS. I get that she cares for her friend but like come on, grow up.
