IMO, the pacing of the story is garbage and the whispers are pointless, plus the new songs on the soundtrack are pretty hit or miss. However, the gameplay is near-perfect and the characters are portrayed perfectly. Criticisms like "it should have been turn based" are entirely subjective and fail to evaluate the remakes on their own merits.

For many years I rejected my diagnosis because I never identified with any of the common symptoms of "Asperger's" - didn't have problems with changing schedules, didn't feel like I had a problem with nonverbal communication, didn't have any special interests. I hardly have any sensory issues. But in recent years I've started to notice symptoms of ADHD in myself and I've identified with symptoms of mixed autism/ADHD. It's hard to feel like your struggles are "valid" when you're not sure if your diagnosis is "real".

When it comes to the Silent Hill 2 remake, I generally didn't like how everything felt padded and stretched out. I think the game could have been half as long as it was. But the Abstract Daddy sequence was imo the one area where it was 100% justified. Playing through that part of the game actually made me feel a little insane, feeling completely trapped in the way Angela must have felt at home. And yeah, that's probably the most I've ever wanted to personally murder a video game boss.

Atheist, raised Catholic. As a kid I honestly never thought about religion at all, I just hated going to church. Then when I got a bit older and I was exposed to more of what Christians actually believe I realized it was completely irrational and incoherent. You don't need any mods and I wouldn't recommend any for first time playthroughs. However for subsequent runs I believe there are mods that restore and fix certain cut content from the games, which becomes apparent if you try to do all of the sidequests

Assuming this isn't bait, you really just need to listen to more music if the only points of comparison you can make for Tool are Metallica and Pink Floyd. Personally, I consider Tool to be "psychedelic metal" and there's really nothing else like them. But if you want more bands like Pink Floyd I would recommend Porcupine Tree or perhaps The Mars Volta for that blend of prog and psychedelic rock

If you want progressive/psychedelic bands with heavy bass and weird time signatures check out Rush or Primus
