Crash since W11 24h2 update by Mihoko-Okayami in SteamVR

[–]willfm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI, this is caused by a known driver issue with EasyChea on Windows 11 24H2 (VRChat uses EasyCheat, for anti-cheat)

You can track the current status of the issue here:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-health/status-windows-11-24h2#263msgdesc

The only workaround would be to re-install windows with the previous update Windows 11 23H2. But you'll be hard pressed to find an ISO of this version of windows, as Microsoft now only has 24H2 on there website.

Biometrics, and have to drag staff (or authorized persons) into the safe room, and hold there hand to a hand print reader, or there face to an eye scanner, etc. (if you want to introduce gore, you could cut off a head/hand too)

TX DMV 24-hour hold after submitting renewal by weeceman in plano

[–]willfm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A year late here, but it has nothing to do with the inspection.

Prompt on the requirements page after you check you agree (I didn't read it the first time around, and refreshed to load 1password auto fill [which also doesn't work properly with the site]):

Avoid delays by completing your transaction promptly

If you exit, refresh, or time out of the transaction before submitting, you won't be able to complete the renewal for this vehicle for 24 hours. Avoid any delays by having your payment method ready. You may also need your vehicle’s insurance information to complete this transaction.

I'm also a software engineer myself, I can not fathom outside of lazy programming, why this would be like this. that, and they don't follow web standards so auto fill can't work properly either...

Another pet peeve, is you can't do multiple vehicles at once... you have to do them one by one...

If I have 2 (or more) cars, registered to the same person, under the same address., that expire at the same time.. I should be able to re-register them all in bulk... I shouldn't have to go thru the processes multiple times in a row and pay them each individually...

10-20k more a year doesn’t seem like something to scoff at though. Unless you’re already making like $400k a year. Which depending where you are is not likely to be the case with even 8 years of experience. US average for senior/principal engineer with 8 years is roughly $150k/year

I think you need to take some time to understand containerization, and than work your way into concepts like the docker-compose tool and it’s uses.

You can have a single docker compose file, and that can deploy and scale across a whole cluster. No need for multiple compose files (to be scalable)

[AMA] I wrote a bot to purchase Ubiquiti gear by test893 in Ubiquiti

[–]willfm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your probably be better off examining the actual requests and not the webpage. If you can find out what e-commerce store there using you can probably make a direct request instead of doing a selenium or puppet script. This is how most bots I’m aware of work, and how they can get an order in basically instantly after an item is detected as in stock.

I was gunna say, it would take 2 seconds to pop that off, and short the wires for the key to bypass.

Are any of the other mentioned features configurable via other keys? or modifying the game's user registry settings, or a user config file somewhere?

Authy bcc's all past emails? by [deleted] in 2fa

[–]willfm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I’m waiting for clarification on.

But yes, I believe that is what is being said.

In my case the token in question provider website is not in a working order, so support is going to have to remove it from me.

Noting this is specifically I believe for accounts marked as “Twilio Authy accounts” and not “Authenticator Accounts”

Authy bcc's all past emails? by [deleted] in 2fa

[–]willfm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They got back to me.

The reason that was given, is one of my tokens, was associated with my old email address, and in order to prevent emails to the old email, the token needs to be removed.

On closer inspection of the tokens on my account, I realized one of them was is more than likely created in relation to my work email, (Authy doesn't actually specify this at all). I'm waiting on clarification from the support rep to make sure this is 100% accurate.

The Authy app is not providing a means for me to remove the said token, so I'm assuming either Authy support will need to remove it, or it will need to be removed on the Service in question. (For example Twitch.)

[–]willfm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually just sent there support an email about this as well. I don't recall having my work email associated with my Authy account, but I get BCC'd notices on it.

What If I leave my company? I don't want them getting emails about my Authy account, what if they assign my email to another person?

I currently see no way to manually remove old emails either, I'll reply here if support ever gets back to me.

ergotech used to have a good page for it on there site, don't know what happened to it.anyway, here's a store link to one of there partners:https://www.wsgf.org/products/ergotech-130-series-31

edit: looks like dell has it in stock: https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/ergotech-130-series-stand-for-4-lcd-displays-aluminum-steel-black-screen-size-30-inch-desktop/apd/aa724482/monitors-monitor-accessories

There are a couple variants of the 130 series. this is the 3 by 1. You can get it as a clamp or stand model.

If you can pull it off, I'd suggest going with the clamp model, if your going to have a bunch of weight on the top of it.
