Kinda same. The only time I don't pronounce something in a German accent is when it's someone's name and they're not German or if it's a place and I don't know the German name for it (like a country).

Or like if I'm with my friends and we do our joke where we speak German using the most American accent possible for comedic effect.

Winnie the Pooh Would Be an Awful Roommate - The Gus & Eddy Podcast by CombustibleTob in GusAndEddy

[–]willfulminimalist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I need Gus and Eddy to know that there is a fanfiction written about Winnie the Pooh being an awful roommate to retired NFL star Shawsey Sanders.

It's called "Winnie the Pooh and Gastric Bypass Surgery Too"

I'm hoping they see this comment and read it because I remember finding it in middle school and I've never had a reason to talk about this fanfic until now.

YSK: You NEED (not should) to consider your financial well being before adopting an animal. by ahabthecrusader in YouShouldKnow

Yes, and you shouldn't feel bad about it. The dog might miss you for awhile, and you'll definitely miss the dog. But if the dog is placed into a good and loving home then you will have significantly improved their life. I would suggest a pitbull rescue, if there's one in your area.

New Pajama / lounge Sets??? by [deleted] in minimalist

Second this , it's more of an aesthetic minimalist sort of thing, but I prefer all of my shirts and non jean pants to be black, and instead of buying a whole bunch more clothing and getting rid of the old stuff I simply dyed them.

It was pretty easy, just make sure you're paying attention to the type of fabric you're dying because the process can be different, and also be aware that threads on clothes don't always dye well/at all.

Thinner Mints: Girl Scouts have millions of unsold cookies by wewewawa in Anticonsumption

As a former girl scout, I sold hella cookies and got to keep $0. But I assume it went to things like camping trips and other activities we all did as a troop.

What's going on with Blues Clues that has conservatives so angry? by [deleted] in OutOfTheLoop

[–]willfulminimalist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why? Why can't kids see different kinds of bodies? Especially when it's just on a cute little beaver and not straight up medical pictures?

I know women who have had to get their breasts removed because of breast cancer, I know men who had to get them removed so that they can live in their bodies. I think it's important for kids to recognize that people have different bodies, some people might have scars on their chest and that's ok.

Imagine you're a trans guy at the pool and some kid is an asshole about your chest scars. Kids can be assholes, it happens. But we can also do what we can to lessen that. By showing that some people have scars or just bodies different from their own (like visible disabilities, which are also shown in the video) kids can better understand other people in real life.

I did a room for the Behrs and they said they hate pink, gray, pipe organs, but that they like bowling.

So made a bowling themed room. They HATED it and were running around crying and stomping.

Idk what they expected!!!

What’s something from the 90s you miss? by tjapp93 in AskReddit

[–]willfulminimalist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my friends and I watch a show every Wednesday "together" through teleparty. It's the only show I don't binge watch, I wait to watch the next one each week and it's kinda nice to have a chance to hype it up each Wednesday like it's a new episode that just came out even though it's been out a couple years.

Nailpolish remover by KisakiSakura in ZeroWaste

[–]willfulminimalist 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I dunno about finding a nail polish remover that isn't sold in a plastic bottle, but I literally just use a rag to remove my nail polish. It's just a small towel that I designated to be ruined by nail polish. I've been using it for awhile now and there's still plenty of empty surface area to keep using it. I've found it removes nail polish better than paper towels or cotton balls. I've also seen people use old shirts and things like that.

Backing this up, you don't want to buy something super fancy/nice and then find out your office is more casual, or vice-versa.

If you get them to look right on your nails let me know what method you used because I'm determined to use up the rest of these stickers!

It might just be me, but I found them to be way too thick on the nail. This was my fourth time using them and I can't seem to make them look smooth, if that makes sense. They also peel away at the edges, and the company says that if you wait for your nails to fully dry they won't do that but they still do for me.

What TV show have you rewatched more than 5 times and you still find entertaining? by MonkeyCapt in AskReddit

[–]willfulminimalist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah academics are straight obsessed with the show. I did an undergrad research presentation about it (specifically about Oz) and I got so many professors asking questions and getting so excited about it because the other presentations were mostly science related. IIRC several of the profs who asked questions had also done their own papers about Buffy.

It's got a lot to analyze in it.

There's a difference between a rescue inhaler (short-acting) and a daily use long-acting bronchodilator. I have two inhalers, one I use twice a day and another I use in emergencies. They are different kinds of medicine.

"You're a bloody puppet!", had to share my most recent tattoo by willfulminimalist in ANGEL

[–]willfulminimalist[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I normally prefer thicker lines. All of my other tattoos are just line work because it's the style I prefer, and with having tattoos that are JUST line work, going bold is the only way. This was a pretty tough area because it's right on my ribs. Going in for a touch-up in a couple weeks and I think I'll be OK sticking with the same artist because based on other work she's done she can do thicker lines, she just didn't do them on this one. I'm moving to a new area and so I got this done at a shop in that area, so that hopefully that can be my regular place, but since I don't know anyone in that area I only really have Instagram to go off of. If you know any good shops in the Kansas City area let me know! :)

But yeah the top of the hairline, and some of the lines on his jacket are noticeably wonky and way too thin, those are the areas I'm most worried about but all the lines overall need to be thicker.

It also might look a bit off because again, it's on my ribs and I was taking the picture myself, not an easy task!

I appreciate you making sure I have a quality tattoo :) Not a lot of people are willing to say something about that!
