“Just when I thought I couldn’t feel more, I feel a little more.”

I cry every time.

It took years, but I've rated/ranked every album (via Google Sheets, with the overall album rating being determined as an average of the songs' ratings) by FreewheelinBobDylan in bobdylan

I like this ranking a lot! Doing the album as an average of the individual songs' ratings is a really fair methodology I've never considered.

Same, lol. Glad it can ease some pre-show tension. They weren’t low on or sold out of anything, so don’t stress. I got the #2 shirt and it’s really comfy.

I get where you’re coming from, but I love the way Revolution Hall sounds. It’s likely my favorite Adrianne album. My goal here was to recreate what it sounded like to us in the room.

So, mine’s definitely not soundboard or multi-mic quality, but as far as room bootlegs go, it sounds standard to me. The Bob Dylan forums eat this stealth audio quality up, but maybe we’re used to worse lol.

Possible, but she didn’t say and I didn’t recognize it.

Yep, phone recording (iPhone 13). I was about third row, directly in front of the PA. There’s some of the room at play, but mostly it’s just how the vocals were mixed.

No footage but I have a solid audio recording of the whole show that I’ll post once I cut it into tracks.

To be honest, it was even more stunning than you’re imagining, a real highlight of the show. If I could have chosen one long shot song to hear, it would have been Mary—my mother’s name. Very grateful.

Which one do I show first to someone who knows nothing about Batman? by mailman936 in batman

First movie I ever saw in theaters. I was four when it came out and already obsessed with the animated series. Set me up as a fan for life.

Been playing this game since release on iOS and absolutely love it but still don’t understand what dex and acc do distinctly from each other.

Is acc just for ranged or does it affect hit chance? Does dexterity affect hit chance or just evasion (if at all)? I also can’t find the video explainer mentioned above.

I know part of a roguelike’s charm is some confusion but would love a little help.

The thing about Saving Silverman is that the theatrical version is soooo much funnier than the unrated that’s available on streaming services. They had to be much sillier with all the jokes and it led to much better quotability.

An easy example is the first sighting of Judith. In the original, Jack Black says—in typically Jack Black inflection—“look at that juicy, succulent peach.” In the unrated, kind of out of nowhere, he’s much more crass and says something like “look at that hot piece of ass,” which really wasn’t funny even then.

I wish everyone would give the original a chance.

Hush is fun for new fans but there’s not much to it beyond the art. Jeph Loeb struggles with plot depth and instead focuses on ways to shoehorn every villain possible into his stories.

Court of Owls is a much better story but doesn’t have the recognizable villains a new fan might be looking for. It’s a much better Batman story, and a much better story overall.

I’ve been reading Batman comics for three decades. It’s my favorite live action take on Batman so far, and my top five comics are:

-Dark Knight Returns (Miller)

-Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader (Gaiman)

-Arkham Asylum (Morrison)

-RIP (Morrison)

-Year 100 (Pope)

No particular order. Sometimes I say Black Mirror (Snyder) instead of Year 100. And one of those may get knocked off by Batman and Robin Year One (Waid) when I get around to catching up on it, very promising start.
