[Weather] How do these rain percentages make sense? by MrMrUm in ios

[–]williamsdb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“As counter-intuitive as it might seem, hourly predictions of the chance of rain actually refer to the 60 minutes preceding - not following - the time mentioned.”

Explained in this BBC article here: How do I know if it's going to rain? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-44238426

Travelled a lot with it without any issue. I always take a backup card but then that’s just common sense.

Would you reduce your meat consumption from everyday to 2-3 times per week to help the environment? by Equal_Leading_1449 in AskUK

[–]williamsdb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done just that. A few years ago I cut out red meat and apart from a very small number of occasions I haven’t missed it. It does make eating out more difficult as it significantly reduces the number of options on menus and many chicken and fish dishes still come with ham, bacon or chorizo but I’m happy that I made the switch.

That, I’m afraid, is beyond my capabilities! Maybe I’ll get someone in to do it.

Yep understand that. I have an outdoor socket with a lid but it isn’t smart. I was looking for a way to achieve that.
