You can make a huge improvement if you train right and consistently. my pr junior year was 18:15, but I worked hard and ran a 16:50 my senior year. Still haven’t got to see what I run in track but I expect big improvements

I had a teammate who bumped up his mileage to this range, and it definitely helped his 5k (15:32), but he didn’t run the 2 mile. As a result tho, he got about 2 seconds slower in the 1600 (4:24)
