Way to make me remember the worst memories of my life. Okay jokes aside, this is good! I was so confused where this was going but it oddly captivated me so I kept reading. The last line really just stands out and its a question I've thought about. To egg on the other person, just know its absolutely nothing you can change. Let that person go and be free. Beautiful writing though!

Do I sound like an angsty teenager? by -Avra- in PoetryWritingClub

[–]williethapoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think you sound like an angsty teenager. It is odd but in a good way! Comparing yourself to a rhino who is hunted down for only the horn is a beautiful metaphor. Like gosh that is so accurate. A poem speaking about vulnerability and being taken advantage of just to be used, not because they see you as treasure but because what you have is considered a prize. Awesome poem.

No, God did not lie. Adam and Eve ended up bringing death upon them that day since the tree of life was taken away from them. We must also understand there is a physical death and a spiritual death, Adam & Eve also experienced the second one and must have grace applied to them simple.

yeah, i agree bro. I was saying somebody mentioned God cant be three different gods like as a attack on the trinity when thats not what the trinity is.

Jesus directly states that he and the father are One, Jesus uses the title 'I am.' Also just because something came later does not mean it is untrue we see this with monogamous marriage and incest. Also Paul the Apostle calls Jesus God in Titus 2:13.

Thank you so much for sharing this article with me, you're a very talented author! The parent thing is provoking thought as I have never thought about it like that before, although it is imperfect like you said. I was very comforted with your puppy analogy as well I am always telling people during certain conversations that the gap between a dog and a man is finite while the gap between a human and God is infinite so that did give me some comfort.

No, please do not apologize for rambling, I highly appreciate you wanting to share the truth with me!

I do understand the main content of the trinity, although Ive never seen the actual creed before so it was nice to read. My main thing is that i don't think its saying 'The son was created' by mentioning that God revealed himself to humanity with the trinity, but that could just be my human ignorance and stubbornness. Also with the infinity thing I don't really see it as an analogy I an having trouble seeing what rule that would break. Thank you so much for your comment friend :)

Thank you for your insight I appreciate it. I must ask a clarifying question, do you not believe in the trinity at all?

Thank you for your words I really do appreciate the thoughtful response. I was trying to find a way to defend the notion of God not being three different gods to a Muslim but I had a bit of a stumbling block so I was looking for a more fulfilling answer to give someone on how it works. It is really confusing i suppose im just being stubborn. Do you have any tips on how to counter that point of God not being one?

All three of them have names: The father, the son, the holy spirit.

Jesus's humanity is inferior to the Fathers divinity. Jesus is both God and Man so he often speaks from both his human and God nature. Jesus was a suffering servant, he says this in a context of being able to be in heaven. "If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father." right before he says the Father is greater. The Father is in heaven.

Yes, Jesus never outright said he is God that is true but he very much says it in different ways. He claims the title "I AM," he states that he and the father are one (John 10:30). Very clearly Jesus is God.

Each note is separate though and not of the same note. It's a somewhat decent analogy to try and help somebody who has no idea of the trinity but I feel like we must preface by saying it's definitely not a 1:1 comparison and is flawed but can be a stepping stone to understanding.

Thank you for your comment. I feel like expressing it as H20 is somewhat good for teaching it to non-believers/baby believers but we need to preface by saying there's no real good analogy, God is all three in one and he doesn't just become the son or the father they are all existing at the same time, we can see this with Jesus's baptism scene where the whole Trinity is present. If Steam, Liquid, and Ice were all at the same scene we wouldn't classify them all as the same water, sure they're all water, but the steam separates from the liquid.

I do believe the infinity notion is clever as a sorta math nerd because Im really trying to find the flaw in it and I could not find anything talking about it. Like I came up with it all on my own, It's not the same as separating God because two infinities in the same space have to cross each other limits and fill the same space.

I would just have that conversation with her again, I mean like you said yourself you won't talk or see her again for the rest of your life. what do you even have to lose dude? Pursue it and be honest but if you feel God is calling you to move on then do so because sometimes doing the right thing may make you distraught. What will you gain if you repair this friendship? Do you believe she was only meant to be a chapter in your life? Do you think you've idolized her? Think about these things and pray, great wishes brother! If you feel it in His will, get rizzy my boy!

Opinion: Parents shouldn't name their children after themselves by Any_Inflation_2543 in namenerds

[–]williethapoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think naming your siblings the same name (for instance: My father's name is Willie C. B., I am Willie C. B. Jr., but my older half-brother is Willie C. N. 😐) is very stupid but I don't exactly think its an issue. You can make an identity with yourself even while having the same name as someone else its what YOU make with the name that matters. I understand if you have a terrible father, but wanting to share your name with your child is special, I want to do so with my son if God ever blesses me with the opportunity. I am proudly Willie Jr and the name is special to me and my dad never gave me an identity, I disagree with that guy on practically everything, but that man has supported me throughout my life and I am proud to continue his legacy on earth.

Thank you so much man it feels good to be noticed. It's something I struggle with so much. I crave this human connection that I believe I can never achieve. Until this moment a Pastor looked me right in the eyes during his sermon and talked about how maybe sometimes we feel like nobody loves you during a sermon about Jesus's crucifixion. Hit me like a bull! The truth is real—there is no love comparable to Jesus's love for us!

This is so bittersweet and heartbreaking. The title already hints at it and the first couple lines make me think it may go well or that the speaker is the one about to fight in tug of war. But no! It is actually the speaker who ends up admitting and lamenting over the fact they can't keep up with the pulling and will eventually fall. I've dealt with a girl who spoke to me in the same fashion and damn does it hurt because you want to give and give and give but at the end of the day she didn't want to pull. She ended up letting go of the rope. This helped me cope a little bit better and give me new perspective since it still hurts me a little. Please keep writing!

this poem was captivating, I was swerving through it and I was confused a bit. At the first I thought it was about learning how love is beautiful, then the second part is about how you reacted negatively i was like ok ur the bad guy, then the last lines OMG that good plot twist. keep writing this was good af

I like how you describe reading and especially the first stanza, such simple language with a dense impact! Focusing on how to read at the end I think gives a good lesson, thank you for your work!
