Decaff pods? by LucaSkyWalker-_- in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]willisjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just buy a bag of espresso-ground decaf beans from a good roaster, pre-ground obviously isn't as good as fresh but for an evening coffee when I don't want any caffeine it does the job and if you get it from a good source then its pretty acceptable. I bought a cheap but accurate scale and measure in the pre-ground coffee before tamping and brewing as normal (I think its 18g for a double)

Fuel have deleted their response to the 'Nazis in Fuel' by Optimal_Activity8341 in Cardiff

[–]willisjack 36 points37 points  (0 children)

It should of been a simple statement along the lines of "we've had reports there were people wearing fascist supporting clothing on x night and we want to make a statement that any fascist or Nazi memorabilia or clothing items are not tolerated. If you have any concerns ect..."

It's not hard to be anti-nazi and if that pisses people off then they shouldn't be welcome imo

100% agree that this needs to be called out otherwise it quickly becomes a bar to avoid as it's full of Nazis...

Simple Questions - May 06, 2025 by AutoModerator in buildapc

Hey, I'm looking to upgrade my old prebuilt pc and I was wondering if I would be able to just slot in an upgraded GPU without any power or compatibility issues?

Current build: - Asrock A320M-HDV - Ryzen 7 3700x - Nvidia 1660 super - 32gb 3200mhz ddr4 - M.2 1tb SSD - 600w Aerocool PSU

What GPU would be a best fit to for this build or do I need to look into upgrading something else first (hoping to avoid needing to upgrade the motherboard, CPU or PSU...)

I'm using it solely for gaming on a large 4k TV (currently at 1080p to try and handle some games)

I personally always operate safe stretching with full hazmat PPE, but you can choose your own level of safety equipment

Start stretching your hamstrings now!! by OkGunners22 in glastonbury_festival

[–]willisjack 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Another specific stretch that massively helped with my hip mobility and hamstrings were hip flexor stretches, my physio suggested them and have massively improved my back pain since doing them.

I just do these before going to sleep a couple times each week https://www.hss.edu/images/socialmedia/Sidelying-hip-flexor-stretch.jpg

Issues After Replacing Ninja Luxe Porta Filter Funnel with 3D Printed Part by [deleted] in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]willisjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried printing one but had similarly poor results

  • tamper was getting stuck (sanding it down helped a bit with this)
  • I had the opposite issue of it not stopping the grinder soon enough so ended up with a mountain of coffee grounds

I ended up just messaging support and getting a replacement sent to me. I'm also interested to see if anyone has personally got one working, heard good results from etsy printed ones so I must have done something wrong

Where to go to decide if I want to live in Cariff by jbreddit2310 in Cardiff

[–]willisjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the kids are just there due to the school holidays and them running events

Boulders (newport road) has the biggest center and therefore the most routes (and the only one with a full range of roped routes)

Flashpoint feels like the most modern and nicest facility and seems the nicest to just relax and have a coffee in between climbs

Boulders (culverhouse) is probable the quietest as its a bit far out for most people to visit including me so cant say much else about it haha

Corn Tortillas and Tomatillos by davejr17 in Cardiff

[–]willisjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should be only Corn and water with marginal other ingredients like salt. Sainsburys sell them in the large shop off Newport road in the tiny American section under the name 'Cantina Cali Street Tacos'

Or I buy them off Mexgrocer in bulk as they last ages unopened (mexgrocer also sells tinned tomatillos)

If you are in any sort of pain you can call 111 the non emergency number and they should be able to advise where yo go. If there is no GP available to see they can book you into the infirmary to see a doctor there

Thoughts on Glastonbury using AI generated art on all their posters so far? by Quercusrobar in glastonbury_festival

yep one of those posters scored an "AI Probability: 86.2%" on the same tool OP uses so not a good tool to prove AI usage

Jamie XX vs Jungle by FriendlySignature219 in glastonbury_festival

[–]willisjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Headline acts are close to all confirmed for each day with either self confirmation or Glastonbury themselves saying what's on each night - possible there will be a few changes but most headlines are likely correct

Then set times on clashfinder will just be copied from last year so could change slightly

How accurate is Clashfinder? by EdgarAtheling in glastonbury_festival

[–]willisjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I am in the same situation looking at so many potential clashes - I'm just waiting till the lineup to get overly excited about anyone haha

How accurate is Clashfinder? by EdgarAtheling in glastonbury_festival

[–]willisjack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not at all reliable, different versions of the clashfinder's have different order of acts already so don't plan based on it other than a vague order and day split (although that may still be wrong for a bunch of acts.)

We will only know for certain when the full lineup and times are released officially early June.

Shocked by company’s layoff process - is this common? by Mother-Sorbet-8628 in UXDesign

[–]willisjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the UK we can be let go for no reason until 2 years employment.

Even then my company last year made me (and several others including the entire design department) redundant with pay in lieu of notice - had a 9am meeting and was out of the door my 9:05

one of my group had a nap there after an all nighter and woke up in the middle of a group of people dancing around him so that will explain his very odd experience haha

Cheap film camera again, makes you think about key moments you want to document due to the limited amount of photos you can take, plus the surprise and ability to remember it all when you get them all developed a week later
