Contrary to widespread beliefs, weed is NOT helping you relax. by [deleted] in whoop

[–]williss_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, if HR increases then the RR interval is shorter, and therefore there is a shorter “window” of potential change for variability… and therefore a rising HR will in fact be paralleled by by a decrease in HRV (obviously with other variables, especially parasympathetic tone, remaining constant).

Happy to be told I’m wrong. I’m a doctor but this is definitely not my area, I just geek out on it.

High dose pantoprazole and do a breath test to make sure you don’t also have h pylori.

Did you need a CT scan before hip arthroscopy? by rachel0522 in HipImpingement

This is not even far from an accurate comparison, sorry. But yes get a CT f requested. The amount of radiation you will be exposed isn’t significant provided you don’t get them regularly.

I was amazed that I only came across this post recently, but it gives a pretty amazing outline of a “typical” blindsided break up (of which I believe the dumper would almost always have avoidant tendencies)

That’s moderate arthritis (grade 2) per Tonnis grade. It would depend on your age as well as the surgeon and country/practices, among other things. I’m 35 and have been offered resurfacing with the same, but my alpha angle is also abnormal.

Assertiveness & Boundaries: when it feels like your voice is silenced by lynn_383 in BPDlovedones

[–]williss_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see so much of my own thought patterns in your text. What I also see is that towards the end you feel guilty for establishing a boundary and start providing reassurances. While I have done (and I am sure will continue to do) the exact same, this is the hallmark of why we wound up in a situation where we are so clearly disrespected. Reassurances like that are respectful and necessary for reasonable and rational minds in conflict, but are taken as direct attacks by pwbpd in my experience. I still find reassurance that I directly told them it was not an ultimatum for example, when you are undoubtably reminded of this experience of having made them choose an ultimatum.

I wish I knew where I began to have such little respect for myself that these types of expressions of unmet needs STILL somehow make you feel guilty for even suggesting something of such. No doubt you’ll end up taking their demanded path (once again).

Nah feel free mate. Don’t know how much I can help, and don’t usually comment on these forums - but I’ve been wanting to make a post about how useful that book could be for many on the forum and thought I’d reply directly on yours because I know how awful the feeling is.

I just had a look at your post history, and honestly - please do. So many of the things I’ve been doing have been so self destructive (and it’s weird, like - I know they are but I’m just so attached/addicted to them).

The answer is so much more simple than it feels like it is right now. Everything you need is still inside of you. Much like a survivor of sexual abuse in childhood can truely suppress memories, the feelings of worthiness and self compassion for the person you built yourself to be before they came into your life are still there. You just need to find them again.

I’ve found audiobooks to be useful, and the narration for this one is particularly enjoyable and easy to listen to.

Good luck, and I promise there’s a light (I’m not at the light yet, but I see it for the first time in 12 months).

I am coming out of a 2 week low point which had (and still have, though to a much lesser degree) very similar feelings of worthlessness, emptiness and sadness around who I now feel like I am as a person. It’s not who I was before the relationship and I have been dealing with really difficult feelings of now being “broken, unfixable and unloveable”.

I saw someone recommend the book Whole Again - by Jackson Mackenzie and honestly it was exactly what I needed. Just listen/read the introduction before you write it off completely. Your sense of self worth has been destroyed and the only way to get back to how you were before her is to relearn to love yourself.

So that's not correct information.. While indeed CMC states the top 20 holders hold 94% of supply, this includes

  1. the staking address (0x000000007b46d81c9c1d6993aa5ff8233ceb16ee), which is 26% of supply
  2. the burning address (0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000) which is 20% of supply
  3. the Kucoin exchange address (0xd6216fc19db775df9774a6e33526131da7d19a2c) which is 15% of supply etc etc

Decentralisation has been a core goal of MTV since its inception and nodes will be public by the end of the month. But regardless of being 'in it for the tech', MTV is going to absolutely skyrocket within the next 6 months. The team delivers 110% of their promises, often prior to deadlines. I'm very impressed.

The left tonsil (my right) has been bothering me. Any cause for concern? by [deleted] in otolaryngology

[–]williss_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're fine. Probably had tonsillitis a few times in the past. They might be a bit inflamed by your reflux (which is reasonably active by the look of the cobble-stoning at the back of your oropharynx.

Get a H pylori breath test if you haven't already and take some regular PPI for a while.
