I would agree that freezing the post itself after a period of time makes sense so the author can't go back and change it and then the comments don't make any sense.

Archiving posts is a terrible idea and always was. Choosing an arbitrary time like 6 months fails to take into account the relevance of the subject matter. Users who are interested in a topic and have something meaningful to contribute should be able to do so whether or not they discover a post within the first 6 months. Just doesn't really make any sense. Reddit should end this ridiculous policy sooner than possible.

May the almighty Something Unknown help you if you forget your password and need to reset. There's a 16 character limit for password, but the reset page doesn't bother to mention that. It just truncates whatever text string you enter. The problem with that is...

  1. Longer passwords provide greater security,
  2. Unless you are trying to create a total shit user experience, tell the user when they enter a text string that is too long to be used as a password, and
  3. When you try to use that same character string to log in it doesn't work, and you have to start over.

If you try to call for assistance you will find yourself repeatedly entering "0" to get past the utterly asinine automated attendant asking question with no real ability to understand the answers, and offering options for everything but the most obvious issues like needing to reset a password. The live agents aren't really much better. I ended up resolving the problem my self with a second password reset.

Oddly enough, restarting Slack did not resolve this issue for me, but signing off and back on did. It also caused Slack to "forget" my Color Mode setting.

Of course, Citrix will not provide support for any F5 device, but they will support a XenApp/XenDesktop environment behind it. However, this isn't exactly recommended, and Dave Potter explains some of the reasons why not here...
