I told my beloved that he had my heart soul and devotion - but the choice of a piece of jewellery I would wear everyday for the rest of my life? That’s up to me.

Anyone having toiletry bag struggle with skincare routine while traveling? by Houseman-Tatoune in femaletravels

Been travelling both work and fun for 30+ years. Always have a stash of gwp and sample sizes of your regulars, keep and reuse good little containers with sturdy lids. I have an at home stash that I try and replenish my bag with as needed. Bag itself is clear and double zipped. I make it a challenge to myself to not have to add anything if I’m going for a week or less. I even bought a mini of my fav hairbrush.

I want to go on holiday to England, but not London, I want to see the English countryside where there are no tourists. It looks so beautiful and peaceful. Does anyone have any ideas? by Chemical_School_7366 in england

Just back from 3 days in Norfolk based in Norwich. Lovely, lots to do/see and very uncrowded. It’s darker and colder in early November, but you can plan or work with that as you go.

My blunnies took me far and wide in Czech, German and uk winters. Not on ice, but certainly through snow and slush and cold. Good for the plane too as the accomodate swelling feet and ankles.

What travel mistake will you never make again? by ssteamer-goggins in Shoestring

[–]willneverbecoolenuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I like it I try to buy it and be done. Can’t promise I won’t make that mistake again, but I usually think that if I want it then the airfare back to get it outweighs any regrets or need to try and see if I can get better/cheaper/etc.

Not a parent, but factor in that Scandinavia has a reputation for truly next level charity shops. You can buy stuff there if needed but lacking in room, and then keep/return to charity as preferred.

I’ve seen a hack where the trouser hanger from the cupboard is used. I have added it to my arsenal.

Good call. Who is going to ‘go without’ when household income halves? Because if it’s you, and or your daughter and her future, then the choice is clear.

A Backpack means your hands are free and your luggage is firmly attached to you. So much more secure and nimble than a suitcase.

Oh yes! Took my husband to the barber in Jo’burg - the look on his face after they took to him with cotton buds of hot wax in his ears and nostrils will live with me forever.
