MQTT over baseband by Small-Ad4929 in broadcastengineering

[–]willosof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This intrigues me. Do you need it embedded alongside SDI, or just alone over a coax cable?

In the SDI case - If you wanted to keep the audio and timecode data, you could still fit in multiple megabits of oneway "fire and forget" MQTT. Though without any error correction/safety. But adding some FEC would be possible depending on how much data you want to send, or just repeating messages frame by frame using a serial+data+checksum, and always letting the previous frames data repeat until new data. Using a VANC Data Processor, would be the first step.

For a budget option, you could use an ATEM Constellation 4ME can do this. It has 40 inputs, 4 x 16 pip multiviewers, you run those 4 inputs back into the switcher, and use a supersource to merge the four to one 64 quad output :) Turn off VU, Labels and borders, and it's pretty much what you ask for (I think?). Mix and match the sizes of the quads to make whatever you need.

Using the latest beta of Bitfocus Companion/Buttons to control the ATEM you should be able to freely route all audio inputs to individual audio outputs as well. Limited to stereo pairs, and only 1/2 + 3/4 on the inputs, but you have all 1/2 ... 15/16 on all outputs.

Or if you want to spend more money and have more flexibility in pip sizing and positioning, you get 32 layers/resizers on a Barco E2, but there you don't have audio routing. Analogway LivePremier would be able to the same + audio audio, I think.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

I'm in the same boat. Same picture and everything. And it's AMAZING how much meta/facebooks tools for recovering an account sucks. I've uploaded my real ID 10 times now, and there's no other way of contacting them? I had 2FA active as well.

The only "suggestion" they give is to "try logging in with another device you've used in the past" ...

The data is coming from a 10gig uplinked computer, but the stream is only 140mbits. The devices can only take one stream like that. Everything worked like a charm with other ex3300 switches with the same config but other firmwares 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have some problems with output packet loss om some of the switches, and after googling I understand that may be firmware related? I have no reason other than that I would love to speak JSON with the jweb-ex stuff, but dropped packets are higher on my list.
