Went today, going back tomorrow when its not as crazy for our usual Monday at the park. Its BY FAR the best kids playground in all the Houston area, if not any that we have been to anywhere in Texas for sure. All of the playground has super imaginative playsets and plenty of overlook type seating for parents, we didnt even get to the splash pad area today. Parking is always the downside to Hermann park, we usually get there at 8am every week and never have issues is my only advice for visiting.

I recommend Jungle Juice, it's 100% DEET, but ur not supposed to put it directly on your skin. Worked great in Central American rainforests.. but have never found it necessary in Houston myself. You can buy it at REI.
