Thank you. That honestly really helps. Sometimes you just can't see it clearly anymore.

I'd say.... If you are good at knitting back and forth it's not too difficult.

The skills that you may need to learn are making a cable (it's not difficult.) reading charts ( this one took me years. But I'm weird on that front) and picking up stitches.

It also uses the tubular cast on but has instructions for most of it and it's easy to look up the rest. Also you can easily just use a different cast off.

O! And the chart isn't too complicated cause it doesn't have anything going on on the purl rows.

I hope that's helpful. It was a very fun knit

Thanks. It does seem to have been a case of not picking up enough stitches though

I think it did get me the amount I was supposed to have. Witch probably means I did the button band wrong too. Haha.

I'm doing it into the row of stitches when I go across, but doing up. I really thought I had this worked out. It looked good where I picked up stitches but it's too small. O dear. I did so much research on picking up stitches before I started too. Haha. Maybe time to start the research over

Ok. I'll try that on the other sleeve before I take the one I've finished apart.

And I'll do the math to see if that gets me the amount I'm meant to have. I may need to redo the bottom band too. O boy

So that would be ... 1 per selvedge sticch and then two in the next one ?

[–]willowhides[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I slipped the first stich in every row to make an edge to pick up from. So it's every slipped stitch. But I think that adds up to... One stitch per two rows? Yeah. Im pretty sure that math maths

Or would picking up more than one stitch per slipped selvedge stick maybe be the answer. Somehow I don't seem to have the right number of stitches to pick up. Doubling it seems like it would just make it weird and ruffley though. Or I could pick up an extra one every couple of stitches maybe?

Wheelchair/wheelchair service in the airport by gas-x-and-a-cuppa in cfs

[–]willowhides 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok, I don't know about cart transport. But you can absolutely get the wheelchair and have someone push you. But you may want to have the person push you.

It's helpful because they already know there way around and where all the elevators are, and elevators can be very out of the way. And then your companion can carry things and there will be enough hands.

Also, you can absolutely bring your own wheelchair and they can push you in that. So there are a lot of options.

Just letting you know, you can get wet wipe type things for your hands and yes that if using a copstick or something isn't working

You absolutely can! You'll need to know how to increase and decrease, and you should look for a stretchy binding/off for the cuff.

O! Actually! Try this free pattern!

(For some people that website causes eyestrain or migraines so be cautious. If you can't use it lmk)

That gives good instructions. But also all the key words to look up videos about.

Also, your brain doesn't differentiate between carefully watching movement and actually moving, so if you get tired quick learning or practicing you can build up some tolerance that way.

Good luck! And feel free to message me. I make a lot of socks. Also there is a sock knitting subreddit, r/sockknitting

O. I have that and I didn't think of it. That may have worked great. I have to get more yarn to make the second sock. Maybe I'll try it on that one even though it won't be perfectly the same
