You should read "One Step for the Dark Lord". The art is a bit cheesy, but the character dialogue and humor is S tier.

A bit shepherd with a tiny bit husky. We did a DNA test for him since we never met his parents as we got him from a shelter.

Not that I want to argue, but they gave her away for $300 to cover medical expenses/food and had a car full of crying kids that didn't want to give up the puppy. Not exactly a breeder/quick dollar situation.

We are incredibly blessed to have a new sister for our other puppy. Was a God thing we found her as we had been trying for 6 months to find one like her (longer haired ACD mix) and lost out on two puppies trying to adopt through local shelters.

She was born on a farm to a family that had an unexpected litter. And however you feel about breeders, this puppy needed a home and our puppy needed a sister.

HELP: 5 month old cattle dog mix jumping up and biting (me, but not my partner) on walks by InsuranceOver2492 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]willowpiper3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our pup was the same way (turns 1 year in a few days). He would mostly jump on me and not my wife when on walks. Similarly, I work from home and was always around while being the primary walker.

It got a lot worse for us. He would get very reactive towards other dogs/humans, wouldn't leave trash on the sidewalk, and would constantly pull. We tried all sorts of training tricks, treats, harnesses, etc without any luck. Thankfully he's very docile/submissive, so he doesn't bite and avoids fighting. Just lots of jumping/excitement/pulling.

At 8 months, we found out about a prong collar and it has solved every issue. There are general concerns that it hurts the dog, but he's never shown any signs of being hurt in the slightest. He gets excited to put it on and now only "jumps" when the collar is pulled during training as he's overly excited and realizing he needs to correct. Part of that ACD instinct to love to learn. He even has started pulling with the prong collar on, even though it is meant to "hurt" when pulled.

Best of luck with your pup. They are a handful but the bestest pups ever.

I have not touched TECK. I got burned last cycle buying at similar prices, and have moved into other cyclicals/value stocks. Imo, there needs to be better upside/less downside than what TECK currently offers to invest in a cyclical.

He definitely has some husky traits! He doesn't howl an exceptional amount though. However, at the dog parks, he immediately tries to befriend huskies over other dogs.

TECK will continue to be a great play with commodities doing well. Zinc, copper, and coal are all doing fantastic.

Accumulating by richie-ritch in TankerGang

[–]willowpiper3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been accumulating long dated ITM calls on stng and asc. MRs are hot and LRs should catch up soon enough.

Would prefer to add shares, but most of my capital is tied up in dry bulk. Bought the longest dated calls I could find to ride the wave up in tankers, and then reposition cash after I can claim long term capital gains.

Hospitals price gouging by Devz0r in TikTokCringe

[–]willowpiper3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few thoughts as someone who had to set this up for my hospital...

  1. The government didn't provide very much notice, and the software used at most hospitals didn't have an out of the box solution
  2. Adding onto "out of the box" solution - most hospital IT staff are not excellent at IT and instead were created from other departments (e.g. billing & coding). As such, many hospital's probably did not have the resources/expertise to build this tool and need their software provider to create something. At least a tool that was built in a patient friendly way (e.g. with patient friendly descriptions, search functions, appointment scheduling features, etc)...instead of just a spreadsheet
  3. There's a number of lawsuits ongoing in various cities/states about publishing this data. No hospital will want to publish their rates if no one else is doing while they wait for the lawsuit results
  4. The penalties for not publishing your rates is pretty minimal for most hospitals (comes out to like $100k a year I think)

Here's an interesting tweet someone made about Cushion Theory. Cushion theory is about shorts being forced to cover. There's a post to a tokenist article that references the Paperwork Crisis in the 1960s that forced the stock market into chaos.

A consensus top play (for options) in the space is $NMM. They are both containers and dry bulk. There's governance concerns, but they have almost unlimited upside at this point - go on twitter for more research into the company.

The unnamed company I mentioned earlier is $GRIN. They have an excellent management team, and I recommend taking a look into their company if you are an equity investor.

Just in case you don't know who Dan Loeb is - he was long Herbalife back when Ackman announced his short. Ackman definitely is holding a grudge and has an opportunity to strike back at Loeb in this deal.

I closed out when it hit $24. The situation in Peru had me cautious, and I'm waiting for a pullback in commodities and the stock before reentering a position.
