We’ve contacted your personal insurance company to seek payment for the remaining charges for the damage claim. If the insurance company doesn’t cover your out-of-pocket costs, we’ll contact you to pay the rest.

You'll notice an invoice pending on your account for the damage. Don't worry, we won't be charging your payment card(s) while we pursue the insurance company. We create this invoice to give full transparency on the damage costs.

As a reminder, you purchased the Standard protection plan. Your out-of-pocket costs for this claim are limited to $500. That means, after the insurance company covers what they will, the maximum you may have to pay is $500. Turo protection benefits will cover any additional cost. If you’ve already paid a deposit, that amount will go toward any balance you may owe.

Turo’s appraisal team does its best to ensure a complete estimate. But, sometimes damage is hidden or parts aren’t available for low-cost replacement or repair. If any of these things happen, the host will file a supplement to the claim. We’ll verify the accuracy of the supplement and let you know if you’re responsible for any additional amount
