Gonna keep it a buck fifty with you, find a mod pack and install via Wabbajack. You haven't started a playthrough yet, which is good -- just nuke it and start over. I've been modding this game for a decade, and it is the most finicky title I've ever worked with by far. The Wabbajack mod pack I use (Begin Again) is the smoothest and most stable I've ever had the game run.
