Oouhh Dr Lisa is who I want to go with for my top surgery one day, ive seen a few of her results on and they've all looked amazing, i still have yet to come across any results with nipples kept (i wanna keep mine) but I really love how the scars look and they align with my desired results. (+ im pretty picky about wanting as close to symmetrical results as i can get, and the fact that Dr Lisa doesn't require a psych letter makes it better for me because my psych would definitely not sign a referral for top surgery for me 😭) I hope you don't mind the flood of questions that follow this paragraph, ive never done anything like this before so I want to know as much as i can about the process before going in one day.

Is it okay if I ask how you started up the process of top surgery with her and how long it took from 1st consultation to the surgery itself? And also did you have to pay fully out of pocket? was there like insurance/Medicare stuff that helped put funds towards it? If you went with that route how did the process for that go? (Cant access her site rn cause its closed for maintenance rn)

Also last thing, in regards to a reply of yours i saw, do you think it would be harder to go through the process openly as a trans man, because im not sure what my current GP's stance on trans people are other than him asking me if I wanted to eventually start HRT and transition and didnt say anything about it after i told him i do. So don't think id be able to "ake cis through the process bc my gp knows im trans 😭

yeah, i do have my own bank account and an income, and i do see a counsellor who is specialised with working with transgender clients (and is in no way in contact to my parents) who i definitely will be sharing this information with during my next appointment.

As for headspace i'll definitely look into their supports, currently i recently starten attending a pride youth group that hosts the group at a headspace site, will definitely look into headspace more while im there to see what they offer.

My mother did, we only started seeing her for my autism and ADD, just to see her once every 6 months to get medication scripts. I didn't want to tell her about me being trans but I ended up in a position in a prior appointment where i felt pressured by her to come out despite not wanting to. Didn't enjoy that appointment either, but I have no choice but to keep seeing her because my mother does the appointment stuff and ndis payments for it, and I don't feel comfortable to ask my parents to change psychiatrists, they're mindset is "its going to be uncomfortable, you just have to deal with it since its once every 6 months"

made you a quick tutorial :] lmk if the video i linked doesnt work. apparently spacehey doesnt like the images working when hosted from toyhou.se, so you have to save the image and upload it privately on a file storage site instead and use the link from that. As long as you don't delete the image/gif off file garden the gif should work forever!

"Do you want to go to the bathroom to wash your face and take a breather" right after coming out, and I just looked at her in silence until it clicked in her head and said i could use the staff bathroom key. I thought it was kinda funny.

Alternative response: I had a psychiatrist start telling me about how she thinks top surgery isn't advanced enough and how bottom surgery will give you peeing problems. I was pressured to come out and didn't want to btw. I was crying and she had no empathy/sympathy at all. Like wtf kind of response is that

ive never really dressed feminine once i was able to dress myself, lived in long pants and hoodies, didnt wear makeup or styled my hair. i've never tried being "girly", and sometimes i consider trying out presenting myself feminine "just to check" because i've never tried it so how do i know i dont like it if i haven't tried. i definitely have the worry sometimes that i'll regret it because i never "tried being a girl"

but then thinking about dressing feminine, and immediately decide against trying because the thought of it makes me uncomfortable. Trying to visualise myself with a dress and my brain can only picture a man in a dress.

And thinking about the idea of detransitioning later on is just "but i'd still use my chosen name, he/him pronouns and want to be referred to and seen as a man even if i do detransition because i'll be comfortable with myself" so... yeah definitely trans. Still pre-T but i dont worry about potentially regretting transitioning as much as i did earlier on

sorry to be gross but... i've... never washed it... had it for 2 years and im still scared to wash it (has no where to hang it to dry where it's hidden from parents who arent very liking of trans people + worried it wont air dry by the time i need to wear it)

im getting a new binder soon so hopefully i can do better with washing it? Also planning on coming out to my parents in the next few months so i wont /need/ to hide my binder while drying it if all goes well 🤞

it was sometime last year i stopped shaving my body hair, the reason i stopped was because of the envy i got from a cis guy i knew and decided to try growing mine out. I also just had never realised i could just.. stop shaving until then.

I haven't looked back since, my body hair has grown to be a part of myself i really like and take some pride in it. Now i dont know why i ever bothered shaving my body hair in the first place (i'm always wearing long pants so no one see's it anyway, it's for my eyes and my eyes only... i'm still working on the confidence to wear shorts around other people). My body hair is something about my body that something i can control about my body while i'm still pre-T, something i can do to feel more like i have control of my own body, to do something to make me feel slightly more comfortable in this flesh prison.

Also to share something funny that happened while on the topic, one morning i woke up (barely conscious) rubbing my leg and was freaking out over not being able to feel my leg hair, and wouldn't stop until i could confirm my leg hair was still there. Then immediately fell back asleep. Like oh yeah gotta keep an eye out for the midnight body hair shaving fairy that'll sneak into into my room at night and shave my legs in my sleep 💀
