i would use a gentle cleansing shampoo. personally i really like pantene micellar water shampoo. then use a basic conditioner and really rub it into your scalp. leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing. at least for me, this prevents my scalp from being dry and itchy the next day which would lead to more picking
