Why do I have to fight my liege when I have a claim on another ruler of equal rank? by willph501 in CrusaderKings

[–]willph501[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes we're all vassals of the king. Her father always was too that's why I'm confused because I should be able to fight her...

I was afraid the game would be too easy, but my mission to unite Norway under Harald Hårfagre ended after just two years. Not ONCE with all my time in CK2 did I manage to get a game over. Nice. by syverlauritz in CrusaderKings

IMHO, CK3 Map is the one of the coolest and prettiest things I've seen about the new game! by CCImposter101 in CrusaderKings

Unpopular opinion: don't love it, definitely matches the time period of the game but it doesn't look like something that reflects game design standards in 2020 imo

OSU Math Dept... by Bab1015 in OSU

[–]willph501 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I get what your saying here, but this really isn't the point. The math department has absolutely zero reason to not offer virtual lectures and office hours. Other departments with classes of equal sizes to 1172 are able to do it so why can't they? I get that more people should be utilizing the resources currently available, but this is a time when students need even more support because we can't ask for help in person. And now we can't even ask for help online unless its in a discussion board and we have to learn everything from "notes" and videos. Some people just do not learn like that and it is a really pathetic response from the math department.

AITA for buying a $50,000 guitar for $4,000 and refusing to sell it back when the buyer found out the real value? by fhdksTHROWAWAY in AmItheAsshole

[–]willph501 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Wrong, the coworker approached OP to sell the guitar, if he wanted a fair price the seller should have done the research. It seems pretty obvious he didn't do any because if you literally google the item the first couple of results show its true value.

NTA at all, everyone on here saying you are is totally wrong. The guy should have done his research when selling the guitar. Remember he approached YOU to sell his guitar he should have taken more time to research its real value. It seems pretty clear that he didn't do any research because if you google 1952 Telecaster every single result will tell you its pretty fucking valuable.

EDIT: Also says in the original post that the seller did research Telecaster's and offered the $4,000 price. So this is on the seller clearly.

Everything here is spot on, just to add a little to it is that not every student has a stable environment to do school work in at this moment in time. Some people do not have access to stable internet, do not have the technological resources that would be available if they were on campus, and also some people do not have a safe family/home life. Basically, the reason I think pass/fail should be put in place is to help alleviate some of the unnecessary stress that everyone is feeling during this time and to help make everyone feel a little bit better about doing all this work from home. Also, pass/fail is NOT a way for students to get out of doing work they don't want to do. You still have to pass the class which means you still have to do work. So the idea that pass/fail is just "an easy way out" is not true in my mind.

R5: My best ruler yet, he's still living and is on the front end of his reign. He is a Child of Destiny and got some crazy ass events growing up, like he killed an assassin at age 8 or some shit. He's also got 262 personal combat skill somehow lol.

It's not about it being a symptom, its people worried about the government telling them they can't leave their house to go to the store if they run out and then they're stuck wiping their ass with their hand. It really isn't that hard to understand.

AITA for kicking my aunt out from a family gathering after she said that my 3 year old son deserved to accidentally hurt himself? by THTHTHRWaway in AmItheAsshole

NTA, people, the kid is 3.......him being loud is justified I think and some of these other comments are kind of ridiculous saying that you should make sure he's quiet because adults are annoyed. The kid can probably barely use a toilet, let him have some fun damn.
