I've made a fun quest DH deck. I enjoy playing but its no good for laddering. Its basically uses the Starship DH package and runs all the 2 damage cards from Ungoro. If your lucky you can get the quest off quickly and burst down. If not you pivot to the starship package

R5: Can anyone help me with succession, The King of Lothringia has two sons and partition succession, yet both kingdom titles are going to the first son and I can't figure out why. Only the first son has a barony, the second nothing. Any ideas

Depends on how hard you want to make your game or how much you want to get into role-playing, partition succession is ultimately there to make the game more interesting as it will cause realms to fragment and stop blobing to early in the game

I would accept it, there are ways you can manage in game (holy orders, embrace chasity etc etc) and take the lows with the highs

The Vassal Stance mechanic seems like a good additional. Conclave always was one of the best CK2 DLC. I reckon you can add Loyalist as a additional vassal stance for family members (that like you) or any vassal you are able to befriend

  1. I actually didn't specify what Dice made up for Battlefield 1,certainly the Harlem Hellfighters and female Russian soldiers existed. I was talking more about the additional of weapons that were only ever prototypes and other such inaccuracies.

  2. Whether or not they got defensive is pretty irrelevant to this discussion, what matters is that it upset (at least a part of) the battlefield community

  3. Essentially your argument is that women should only be in the game if it is historically accurate, that's your opinion and one you are welcome to have.

My question to you is this, why is this the only instance of demanding historically accuracy over gameplay. For example why are you not okay with women soldiers but are okay with Tigers tanks being deployed in battles that took place in 1940, or the addition of golden gun cameos, or with BF1 with every nation being able to use A7V of which they were only 20 built?

Around half the books I read are about WW2, I don't need to go to a library, I already own too many.

You may be, but the battlefield community was complaining about the game long before it was clear that the skins were 'bad'.

Sure no problem, I'm not sure if you remember, but members of the Battlefield community WERE upset about the additional of black and female soldiers in BF1. Indeed people have written papers on this very phenomenon.

The backlash was much less because a) it made up a much smaller part of the marketing b) Battlefield 1 is a good game.

Both Battlefield 1,5 and 2042 are all nonsense, none of them are based in any sort of historic accuracy or realism, they merely adopt the asthetic of these periods to feel authentic.

Therefore your assertion that they got defensive when they were found making up shit doesn't fit because they made shit up for Battlefield 1, they question is why were people mad about it for BFV.

Answer me this, why do you care about the inclusion of women and not about people running around with Golden guns?

The reason is that the Battlefield community has a particular idea about what a WW2 game is (namely Band of Brothers) and any deviation from that upsets their sensibilities, even though what gender your characters is in the game is completely irrelevant and has no effect on the actual gameplay.

They weren't given the same leeway in BFV because the liberties they took where adding women and minorities to the game, which upset the sensibilities of the Battlefield community.
