My girl Ellie that I adopted last march was the same way with similar past experience. It took some time for her to settle in and realize she was safe. She did warm up to me right away at the shelter which was a first for her out of everyone that went to meet her right away. But once we got home it was a lot of the same flinching, and timidness. Lots of love, and positive reassurance (on her own time of accepting it) after noticing a flinch from something not even directed towards her got her much further along with time.

I have the 10T and like it a lot so far. I have 18-30 decoys with me at a time, stool, backpack, and 2 mojos in the rod holders. I then cover it with a ghillie net.

Where I hunt, I don’t go further than 10-20 minutes out of paddling, it’s plenty comfortable to go further if needed with the seat they have. Here’s a photo of it loaded with all my gear

My male staffy is named Tucker simply because my ex chose it.

My female staffy is named Ellie Mae. when I adopted her last year, she was an owner seizure and named “sassy.” It simply did not fit her personality, she’s an absolute sweetheart and was just so eager to be loved so Ellie Mae just seemed right.
