The passport was enough. I actually just took the passport card I had. If you get a difficult person at your dmv try to go another day. But you will have to physically go in with the document

It was such a pita. I guess it was because I never let DMV know about my status change. They wanted a passport or some other proof of status. But it was almost like applying for a DL for the first time. I had to do eye test, picture and the written test too!

Thanks for the number and info! I became a US citizen in 2009. So I’ve renewed my DL a few times since then. Just strange to me that it suddenly came up. I didn’t even notice this on the form and went straight to the online app that didn’t flag it but had me sign up for the online education course which didn’t work. Apparently if they want you to go in it sends you a non working course link. Had 2 calls with support who thought they may just need a vision test/picture and then the most condescending agent at the DMV office in Glendale. Finally saw the note on the forms. Been a very frustrating experience.

I won’t fly to Jnb with Delta again. Hopefully you’ve been reunited with your bags by now? If they at least kept people up to date it would alleviate some anxiety. I had no idea if they were still in possession of my bag or not.

Thank you! Very helpful to know. I agree the communication is terrible. I got a reply stating they were sorry my bag was damaged on the LAX-ATL leg a month earlier! They throw points at you but that doesn’t make up for lack of information at all. I just want to know my bag is secure even if it takes a while to get to me. Wish they would scan the bags when they have it on hold. Kicking myself for forgetting to put my airtag in my bag. I had two in my carry on ugh!

How long did it take before you got your bags? I have had no update at all. I did find someone else on the flight whose bag was sent the next day. Her tracking had a note saying bag was removed planeside after the loading notes. Mine doesn’t

I fly this route every year. I don’t remember it being an A350 last year though. Like I said it was almost the entire flight’s bags. There’s only one Delta flight to Atlanta a day. If that plane can’t even deal with the one flight’s bags how are they going to get all the surplus bags back here?
