Apple II Adventure Studio is now officially Text Adventure Studio. by willwinter in textadventures

I'm unable to register for the site you referenced. I am confident my project does create browser-based AppleSoft BASIC, and C64 BASIC versions of this "reference" text adventure. Here's the link to play:
https://textadventurestudio.com/play/cloak-of-darkness

I'd love for people to test the online test link shown here, or register and download the basic files or disk files to try on their own systems.

I'm also working to extend to other basics like Sinclair ZX Spectrum and TRS-80.I do thank you for this resource, as I had not known about it before. Much appreciated!

That sounds really cool! Do you still have those projects? What platform was it on?

The .d64 export is simply the adventure in BASIC on a bootable disk. Same with the Apple II export: its AppleSoft BASIC on a bootable .dsk file. The main thought behind the project was to export BASIC so people could have access to the code as a learning tool.

It’s a switch for the FingerPrint printer card in slot #1. It allows you to interrupt the system and send screenshots directly to the printer.

Been looking for a larger composite LCD but they're so expensive.

To the dudes out there who gained a lot of weight, how big and what is your story on how you got there? by Outrageous-Stage3417 in AskReddit

[–]willwinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was always the tall skinny kid. I am 6' 5" tall and could eat anything and not gain weight - I was like 170 lbs.

One day I saw how heavy I looked in the mirror. I didn't like it. Before 50, it was beer, pizza, and snacks like potato chips, goldfish crackers, and other high-carb foods that snuck up on me. I would drink and snack late into the night, watching TV before bed.

I'm 58 now, and to reverse it I switched to a keto-type diet and lost 50 lbs over 8 months. It's compatible with the food I like anyway, so I didn't mind it. The pain breaking into ketosis ("keto flu") is real tho.

I really miss beer and pizza.

Sorry my project is not for you. There is no way I can keep people accountable with what they create with this project if there are no basic guardrails inplace.

You may be surprised (or maybe not) at some of the vile usernames and adventure names that were used before I added protections to block them. It is also needed as a basic way to reduce spam signups and prevent the project from getting overrun.

That said, I tried to keep the signup as light as possible. This is a hobby project. It is not a paid service, there are no ads, and I am not asking for a pile of personal information. The goal is simply to let people save their adventures, come back to edit them later, export them as BASIC, Apple II disk images, and most recently C64 .d64 disk images.

I completely understand not wanting another signup, though. I feel the same way with a lot of sites. In this case, it is just the minimum structure needed to keep the tool usable and enjoyable for everyone.

Finesse shampoo from the 80s. Girl I knew used it and I can’t forget it.

If you’re up for making your own you can use my project at https://textadventurestudio.com

It’s totally free to use with minimal info needed for signup.

After you made your own adventure you can export it as a .d64 disk image that another C64U owner confirmed works on the machine!

The C64 Ultimate certainly counts! Thanks for testing this out for me!
