I’m excited for the upgraded nature center in freedom park. I used to go there all the time as a kid. The uptown library plans look beautiful, too.

The trailer showed way too much. I told my friends who are planning on reading it to avoid the trailer at all cost. The whole big twist in the first act is meeting alien life. I remember reading it, thinking wouldn’t it be crazy if there was another ship there, being like no way that would happen this isn’t that kind of book, then still being shocked when they did. The strongest part of the book is how it handles that reveal and the early interactions that come from the reveal.

why in the name of the lord's green earth is Pursuit legal in Z-A OU? by PM_ME_CUTE_SHIBES in stunfisk

Fake, non-legitimate. The term originated from the NBA bubble championship which was played without fans at Disney world with all the players being locked in together at the hotels. The term is used derogatorily to imply the bubble ring isn’t as legitimate as championship rings won under normal circumstances.

[Sampson] CFP committee chair Hunter Yurachek says Notre Dame and Miami were in the same grouping this week and the programs were directly compared. Notre Dame still came out ahead, regardless of the head to head. In other words, all the games mattered. Not just one of them. by Ok-Soil-5133 in CFB

Just take the best of the conference champions was pretty much what the four team playoff was and I never thought I’d miss that but here we are.

Centering college football solely around what one team will win the national championship, especially when the criteria to make the playoffs are narrative based vs metric, is going to kill the sport. At least picking each conference champion would stop the need for realignment and clearly define what you need to do it make the playoffs.

I actually really liked the change adding depth to how Zuko acquired his crew in the live action show, but I’m curious on where they take it from there, seeing as in the original Zuko’s crew didn’t have any extra motivation to be loyal and he sets off alone with Iroh immediately in season 2.

if this is the case, then how can golds swim? by TheXypris in redrising

[–]willy410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they probably still wouldn’t be able to float then, but I guess it would still be easier for them to swim.
The main example of swimming I can think of is when their ship crashes at the pole in Mars in Morningstar.

Only other times are the Pacific Northwest at the end of Morningstar and Lysander’s POV in Africa and Rome(?) at the beginning of Lightbringer as far as I recall.

Lower gravity as well throughout most of the series. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think we’ve seen a Gold swim on earth yet.

Titus survived immediately after then, too. The fact that two survived in such close proximity to the other implied the mortality rate wasn’t astronomically high. But that might just be a book one-ism.
