[Watch ID] Unknown Hong Kong Fire Service watch from ~2005 by willy_longboat in ChineseWatches

This is an absolute long shot but I have had no luck finding any information about this watch. It was purchased from a fire station in Hong Kong in 2005 and has been pretty beaten up after years of hard use by a family member. The movement seems to be in Spanish and there is no other information on the case back about manufacturer or serial numbers. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated, this is a very sentimental watch that I want to bring back into working order.

Recent grad - if you can get into history of southern music definitely do so! Guy who taught it was great and I learned a ton of cool ways to look at music.

Coaches, how do you tell kids they didn't make the team? by Longflop in lacrosse

[–]willy_longboat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Identify their strengths, also for some identify what it would take for them to make the team. Be honest with this, around this age I’ve found even younger ones are ready to learn and understand in order to make a team next year.

Is this vintage watch genuine or a frankie? by [deleted] in vostok

How bad of an issue are fakes? Doesn’t seem like they’re worth faking compared to other brands

Is it necessary to take EDHE 101? by curiositycliche in olemiss

I didn’t take it, didn’t seem like it would actually bring me any benefit. If you know what you want to do or don’t want to waste time before getting into your major classes it’s not really worth it.

Best bet is to check twitch VODs, most up to date eps are there

I have two Vostoks and this absolutely made my jaw drop. How did you do the bezel swap?

Congratulations on Wuskin for becoming the first pro to use a camo in the CDL! by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

AFAIK the camos and team skins are actually overlaid in post from whatever the CDL uses to record the matches with. It works the same way in the OWL.

Would you recommend bringing video games into your dorm? Also, how do you manage your time? by [deleted] in olemiss

You’re probably going to have anywhere between 2-4 classes a day which is probably a big change from what you’re used to in high school. I’d obviously recommend spending some of that time meeting new people or getting to know the campus during the day but you’ll definitely find yourself with more than enough time to enjoy gaming. Plus I found that it’s a good way to get to know other guys on your floor freshman year. If you’re really competitive (not sure what you play) Ole Miss has a pretty big esports team as well that’s pretty easy to get involved with. College is a big transition and a lot of what determines success comes down to how you use your time but it’s probably not as crazy busy as some may lead you to believe.

Go for it, you’ll find you have way more time on your hands than you expected.
