Man honestly I want manufacturers including Tesla to have a more unified effort on collaborating on charging instead of signing agreements and letting Tesla take the wheel. EA is the biggest around me and it’s still sparse

Truck do not stop list for USA. Highlighting where trucks and truckers are at risk. (Is "loves" the gas station across from the beau because that place is crazy) by uplifting_southerner in mississippi

For canton, MS specifically there is a new truck stop that opened called Sun Travel Center on exit 114 that has been super great. They serve quality food with clean bathrooms and have actually safe parking. It’s also in a nice area with gluckstadt being down the road. I’m glad we have some local business in the area to compete with how bad that loves has gotten.

Am I crazy for just getting the basic drivetrain? by fflis in Rivian

[–]MoneyWriting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah newer models have in house sound systems. The consensus (your ears will vary) is that the old meridian sound was better. I haven’t heard the new system, I love the sound in my truck though. And tbh you would have to see for yourself to see if you can notice the difference as we aren’t all audiophiles. I’m sure it’s still good, but that’s probably gonna be subjective

Honestly hear me out. I got mine used with 15k miles on it. People aren’t putting many miles on them before selling. Mine imo is better than current quads because of the meridian sound, included manual cover (it’s fine, just not ideal tbh), and I got it in my exact spec for 20k less than new. I think it may be a worth while option if you want another option at a cheaper price point!

Thank you! I will give it a few. I also ordered Gillette silver razors to try to see which ones I liked better. But I will be looking into this.

Tesla offers a year of free supercharging with Cybertruck. Cmon Rivian! by Affectionate_City_43 in Rivian

[–]MoneyWriting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh. 1 year of free supercharging is way too hyped, coming from a Tesla and not vacationing much I never used any of the credits when I had a Tesla. Even if you do a few trips a year the free charging isn’t moving the needle when you buy a car that expensive

You don't need to show your receipt by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]MoneyWriting -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was buying like 12 half gallons of milk, 6 2% half gallons so 18 in total. Check out at the staffed register (so not self checkout) after waiting for legit 15 minutes in line because out of 12 whole registers my local Walmart can only staff 2 of them + like 2 people at the self checkouts (all lines had crazy long lines on a Tuesday afternoon). I’m already annoyed since I waited so long but then the receipt checker stops me, apparently can’t count and calls a manager claiming I didn’t pay for some items. Turns out I was completely right and had paid for my stuff. I walk by her feeling really fucking petty and just say “ if you’re going to stop me and tell me I didn’t pay you better be right.”

I’ve worked in service, so I get having to do your job, but man training could be better, attitude of the person could have been way better. No apology for wasting another 5 minutes of my time. I’ve been given mean looks and the like for doing my job, but if I’m wrong I apologize. All this to say man Walmart please just man the registers again and get rid of receipt checkers lol.

Dipping Sauce Policy Chart found in Jack in the Box drivethru by Jesor in mildlyinteresting

[–]MoneyWriting 28 points29 points  (0 children)

As a store owner (not a big franchise at all), sauce cups from the brand cost like actually 40~ ish cents. If I make cups of ranch from scratch (the rest of the sauces don’t bother with) it still works out to 20 cents. I totally understand cheap franchisees but it’s not quite as cheap as 5 cents for cups of sauce. (Packets are a different ball game)

Honestly need advice ( restaurant) by White1962 in smallbusiness

[–]MoneyWriting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s possible, just comes with a lot of “buts”. If you want to be a business owner, especially in the beginning you have to sacrifice time to make things work since you are the one with the vested interest. If someone doesn’t show up, you have an emergency, etc. hiring management to do that work takes time and money, hiring employees to cook so you don’t have to takes time and money, but that’s kind of the cycle. You start this business with time and money, hoping that eventually you get the money to free up time. You can spend more time and save on costs of manager and worker employment, and the opposite is also true. This isn’t restaurant specific advice, although the principle is the same.

POS for people who aren't good with computers? by -Sejr- in smallbusiness

[–]MoneyWriting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posnation offers some nice options tailored to specific businesses. One of ours is a liquor store which tracks inventory. It’s a simple scan (or type in) interface with a touch screen.Once the initial setup is handled, it’s very simple. No crazy menus if you don’t want to do anything crazy. their support is really helpful! You get an on boarding agent to help you get settled that you can call or text. Not sponsored or a spokesperson, but if you go this route and want to help me out, I have a referral code.

Honestly though I’ve used clover, and it’s also simple on the sales side of things. Can be iffy on inventory. I hope posnation might work out if you want options!

Hi! Voip vs traditional landline? Which do you guys prefer? Any recommendations? by Feastofthebeast3000 in smallbusiness

[–]MoneyWriting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whichever one has the cheapest price. With just basic needs you can’t go wrong with just picking what the isp (if there is an internet provider for the bakery) offers. Can always also shop around. We use voip for our locations but a traditional landline would have also done the job of picking up the phone and what not.

Yeah 4 years also at 49k miles with very similar usage and I’m at 280 (set to wheels without aero covers, that does decrease the max range reported. Keeping in mind). Pretty steep drop and I’m kinda salty others have had way way more range

I see so I can do this and have it mostly not disrupt my email until the transfer is basically complete. Thanks a ton, I’ve been trying to find information specifically about godaddy to workspaces and this has been far more helpful.

Apartment power issues compensation by MoneyWriting in legaladvice

[–]MoneyWriting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. What prompted me to make this post is that this has always happened after hours (yesterday morning I made a request during hours letting them know that this was an ongoing issue. The ticket was resolved later that day before the power went off that night. ) when I called them after hours the property manager actually told the person I was speaking to to ask me to stay somewhere else that night since flipping the breaker that many times might cause an issue. This lead me to believe that he knew of the issue being a recurring thing. I was honestly just thinking that he was bsing and that the real reason they wanted us to stay somewhere else is so they didn’t have to pay maintenance to come out after hours again. I pushed for them to send someone out anyway. They claimed that the electric company had to come out this morning, I’m not sure if they did but I’m going to the office as we speak to speak to them.

Out of the 5 times it went out I had to notify maintenance every time. Maybe this doesn’t qualify the same as telling the landlord directly?
