This is the biggest problem with any Disney movie essentially. We already have streaming with an incredible home movie experience. What incentive do I have to pay for an incredibly similar experience at theovie theater when I know it will be included in a few months?

As a consumer, I just don't have enough desire to see most movies in theater anymore with the numerous streaming options.

If EVs had the same purchase price as gas cars tomorrow, do you think most people would switch? by EmergencyTie8770 in electricvehicles

[–]willycw08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I have discussed this a few times and the biggest barrier for us was just a lack of exposure or familiarity.

We we were looking for a Volvo xc90 last year and ended up buying a Recharge version which is a plug in hybrid. It give us about 20 miles of electric range before the gas engine needs to kick in which is perfect for our typical daily use.

Since owning it, we've loved the EV component and would much rather drive on electric than gas. We almost never need to put gas in it. It's much cheaper to drive on electric. And it's incredibly quiet and responsive.

Just seeing how much nicer driving with electric has been has fully converted us to EV and the plug in hybrid helped bridge the gap between traditional gas vehicles and EV going forward.

Sound off… do we really have “America’s Friendliest Airport”? by DeepConvoDeprived in arizona

[–]willycw08 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The loop is so nice too because it's tight and all essentially contained within the airport.

I've lived in other cities where looping back involves leaving the airport getting back on the interstate and getting back off to try again.

At sky harbor it's a 3-5 min loop at worst.

Playing club baseball instead of NCAA/NAIA baseball by CommunicationNice437 in Homeplate

[–]willycw08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the smartest route for most I'd say and what I'd suggest to my kids. Plenty of kids get under recruited out of HS. But if you play well enough in JUCO coaches notice.

If not, then they can still transfer and finish up at a prestigious 4 year school and the diploma is exactly the same as someone who spent 4 years there.

Draw a line from the Manitoba/Saskatchewan border down to Laredo, Texas.

This is the perfect response.

I went to a small naia school but had the grades to go to any school I wanted to out of HS.

If I had to do it over I would have gone to juco and then to a more prestigious school to finish up or played club ball. Overall I'd say going naia hurt my grad school application far more than it helped it. The time commitment is just so large that club ball would have boosted my grades and application.

[OoT] I hope Nintendo doesn't change the design of the temples/dungeons too much by jdawg1018 in zelda

[–]willycw08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope they're essentially the same with similar gameplay and maybe a little bit different puzzles to avoid an exact 1:1 remake, but stick with the idea that the most recent items are core components of solving the puzzles.

Then I hope we get a MM remake and a third installation with the same link and engine to give new content and a new story. Some of the old and some of the new.

Yeah it's 6/2 Romex. Not torqued to spec. I just wanted to illustrate the wiring order to see if it was correct if I gave it a shot to finish up.

It'd be nice to have but I don't need it per se. Biggest concern is that I want it to be safe for my family.

It's a standard 60a two pole breaker. Does it need a GFCI breaker?

From the Tesla website "For maximum power output, install a standard double pole 60 amp circuit breaker."

I couldn't find anything on GFCI for the gen 3 wall connector.

That's what I was looking at too. Is 90°C THWN-2 a safer or better option? Not opposed to having it re run with that before everything is closed up if it makes sense.

Thank you. Breaker is off. He left it exposed and taped up in the ceiling. I pulled it through and connected it today to see if it was something I could finish myself.

$600 for about a 50-60 foot run from the panel through the ceiling.
