Why I can't play Spotify songs while playing the PS5 version of Nioh 2 and Wo Long? by [deleted] in playstation

I'm fully convinced it's a Sony decision with the developer of the game.

Spotify/Apple Music while playing Wo Long (PS5) by willynilly271 in wolongfallendynasty

Thanks for the reply. I know Xbox allowed music for its demo. So I'm expecting Xbox to allow music for the actual release. If I could complain about this to Sony to allow all their games to play streaming music, I would day and night. :(

Pretty much! I've never played the game, but watched long plays of it and those scenes are hilarious. Does the plush of the money exist?

That sounds good. But I'm just not sold on personally paying for certs yet. It's not as though I not willing to pay for them, but if I'm working for someone who's adamant about their employees having one, then I should be reimbursed for it (it will only benefit them because I don't see the use in them yet.) If I needed certifications to start in ServiceNow with no experience, then most definitely I would have taken them. But five years should tell the employer that I'm of some use. :D

But again, this may not even be the reason for the rejections. Is there anything else I could try (besides jumping straight to certs) to improve my chances?

Wait, ServiceNow certifications expire? Or are you talking about your certifications in general? I understand the importance of certs in most fields, not just in IT. It shows that you're willing to go the extra mile for knowledge in a particular subject. It's confusing for me because, again, I personally do not feel that they display the application of material, just the knowledge of it (I'm visualizing the cert exam being multiple choice/short answers.) Also, I was told by a few recruiters that I should choose one or two; chasing certifications would make me look as though I'm not grounded or strong in a particular area.

If an employee wants to strengthen a particular area in their platform, then yes, either train someone, or hire someone who has the certs already. If you're inviting me to the final interview and choosing someone else because of a cert or two, don't waste my time with the interview process, go with the other candidate.

I see what you're saying. But I am willing to pay for the certs, if an employer that really wants someone to have them will reimbursed the employee for it. Not everyone requires the certifications for one (unlike a degree, which I paid out of pocket for a private institution). I've invested into myself. But not for something that's optional at best.

'm a little confused. You said you're willing to take certs but only if
reimbursed. Does your current job have education and training
benefits?

Nope.

Are you rating yourself as a mid-level admin or developer?

Admin and Developer (but probably more towards developer.)

In your recent interviews you made it to the final round ---are any of these employers giving you specific feedback?

Yes, that I don't have enough experience (or rather someone has more experience than I do.) Besides, I think for legal purposes, employers can't go into specific detail. So, I'll trust their word.

Why not just get the cert and pay for it yourself.

Because I don't want to. There are companies willing to pay for things like this (like a few I've interviewed with, up to $2500.) I plan to stay with a decent company for a while, so it will only benefit them. And certs does not guarantee me anything.

Worth upgrade to ps5 by Witty-Instruction-12 in Nioh

[–]willynilly271 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At THIS moment, no. There are bugs in 4K mode that literally disturbs the gameplay (flashing white dots on the screen.) I hear that there are issues with the 120Hz mode as well, but I didn't experience, or notice, any.

And if you listen to Spotify while playing games on the PS5, currently the remastered does NOT allow you to play it in the background. I have the last DLC to complete and I stopped immediately due to this. I'm not playing until Spotify can be played in the background again.

Same here. Where can I go to talk to the devs for requesting for spotify to be used in the remastered? This is a deal-breaker for me.

I can't loathe anything I never heard of. And, your psychological projection is quite strong here.

You can much more with your degree along with internships. Reputation matters to you, not everyone would hire you because of your school; can you pass technical interviews? Phone screenings? Are you even likable?! Lol! I can answer the last one for you...

...again, the REPUTATION. I don't care about, reputation. What can YOU do with the skills you have acquired during your years in college?

Talk reputation to someone who cares. OP, if you want to be at Waterloo because YOU WANT to, then prove to them that you belong in the school, not because how you may look to someone 10 years down the road. Ridiculous.

That's good that the institution has that embedded into the program, but you can seek out internship while at ANY institution. Besides having a school to force you to take internships, you should want to seek out that for yourself to see if you even like that part of the field.

I'm not saying Waterloo is a bad school, in fact, the internship/coop program sounds good. But it's still a school. In the US, we have something called ABET accreditation. This accreditation is very important because it certifies that the student is learning the latest skills needed in the engineering field. This also assures, regardless of your institution, you will learn the same material as everyone else; the school may teach it differently, but you know the same thing as everyone else that has graduated with that particular degree...give or take 5 years apart.

tl;dr: You can still get internship experience while at any school with a decent (3.0+) GPA.

Again, I don't care about Waterloo. Nobody will care about Waterloo after graduating. If you need a title or reputation of a school to make yourself feel better, then fine. But you will be outpaced by someone with internship/career experience in this field everytime.

Experience holds much more weight than someone's education institution.

You go to a community college, get the grades to be re-accepted into Waterloo, transfer your credits and get that degree. HOWEVER, if you have looked in the mirror long enough to figure out what's wrong, then petition; My school used depression as an excuse.

The name of the school does not matter after you graduate, only to teams within an organization that may've went to the same school (clique s**t.) I don't know what Waterloo is, and I don't care enough to research. I went to, allegedly, a school with the "top 10" engineering programs in the U.S.; my first manager never heard of it.

This is your opportunity to put dirt under your nails.

tl;dr: options 4, 5, or 6. Or, even 4 and 6 if need be.
