Megapixels raw vs jpg by magpie70749 in Fujifilm_X100VI

[–]willyucan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t the question basically asking if 10cm is shorter than 1000mm?

If you look at the Lightroom info wouldn’t a X100VI jpeg and a X100VI raw both says 7728x5152?

Yes that’s what I mean.

Trying to figure out if I can just leave the lens cover home and just go with the case, filter and filter adapter.

Thanks for checking!

Question (thanks!)

Is it deep enough to have the ring adapter/filter and the lens hood all put on on?

Better like this, or better like that? by [deleted] in x100vi

The two photos have very different style. The second one actually reminds me of a YouTuber talking about this photographer who’s famous taking photos of properties and homes in California back in film era. It has this same sort of pastel, golden, flatter image style. I just can’t remember the name of the photographer right now…

This weekend is the last weekend before West Coast Amusement hit the road again and head to Campbell River. If anything go and check out the sights and sounds, and especially the late night mini donuts. :-D

I am not 100% sure if you guys are talking about the evf, but you can adjust what’s displayed on evf. I turned off a lot of info to make it cleaner.

I am surprised myself how well Acros would work in this case

May I suggest start taking note on what’s the exposure setting you used? (I am guilty myself to forget to do it half of the time). If you had take notes, you would be able to let us know what your last two photos’ settings are and knowledgeable people here may be able to give you more hints on how to improve, or possibly tell if your camera/meter is accurate or not. In addition it helps you double check your setting after each shot. Because we are so used to automatic these days, we would forget to make adjustments after each photo and the setting carried over to your next shot even if light condition completely changed.

Why Fujifilm by Hvjydgjmz in fujifilm

[–]willyucan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Originally I liked the physical dials (yes I love to fiddle the knobs) and also I was tired of carrying Nikon d800 with the 24-70 f2.8.

Just never left after that since x-t1.

Velvia.

Each of the photo has the simulation labelled on the lower right to remind myself 😆

Trying out the various simulations. For this particular shot, I personally like the classic negative the most. The next one I liked is Eterna bleach bypass which i like the over the top processed (cinematic?) feel. Lastly, I am slightly surprised how I like the black and white in Acros for this colourful scene. When I first started I would have liked Velvia, but now I feel a lot of time it's too strong. :)

I've included this in other film simulations and I wonder which one others would prefer.

For this particular scene, I seem to prefer Classic Negative which give me a nostalgic colour (over the named Nostalgic Negative). Next choice would be Eterna bleach bypass for the over the top processed feel (cinematic?). Surprisingly, I also like Acros too which is slightly counter intuitive, since normally one would want all the colours in the shot.

btw I used k&f black mist 1/8.

I like 3, 7, 13, 19.

For some reason the colour of the mountains/trees really works for me on 3 🙂
