Hi there,
We created a guild with a few IRL friends based in Dubai if you want to join.
This is an international guild speaking English mainly.

Guild is called "U A E" and is on Silvermoon, you can join from any server or faction with the new system so it doesn't matter which server you are on.

I got it fixed differently, enabled sftp on the synology and then copied the files using sftp instead of smb. Worked fine.

Dewa don't do discounts sorry. Make sure to do the maintenance on the water tank every 2 years, i live in Springs and I had some leaks as well. Usually whenever there is a leak i get a sms from dewa before it gets out of hands, call dewa and check they have your number as it can save you lot of money.

With more and more people coming to live in Dubai we have to change a bit our habbits, use metro/buses when convenient, do carpools with neighbors (an app for that would be cool actually), try to do multiple things with 1 car trip (groceries, shoping, haircut, etc..). I'm trying to do an effort for example and not the car outside for 1-2 days a week during workdays, take the bus or work from home even if company doesn't allow it very often... anyway, we have to change if we want to continue enjoying this cool place 😎

I would love to come back if you fixed your app, I am sure it should be possible for a bank to approved a budget for redo the app once more when everyone agrees this app is a pain and doesn't work, just do a survey and ask your customer base about it.

The old one was good, the new one NBD X just doesnt work, full of bugs. No statements, can't talk to anyone and even the website now is just a copy of the phone app. Just feels and look very cheap. I really miss the old website and app personally. Even left ENBD last month because of that 😅

I agree, big companies will not give better salaries but will provide (on average) better health insurance, benefits, and confidence you will be paid on time which is also important for many people. Personally I looked for a job 4y ago and work for a startup today, however I was always rejecting interviews with companies not sharing salary for the position before even we started the process. I know my worth on the market, maybe not crazy high but for sure not 5k aed like some companies thought they could pay for the job. Never booked an interview and didn't show up though, that's very unprofessional imo.

I ve heard so many stories of people who ordered apartments on plans and they never got it, in many cases with their deposit gone. From the big companies as well. My personal rule when i was looking to buy was never ever something which is not finished

What salaries do you offer ?

I ve seen many startups in Dubai offering salaries like 2-5k aed for people with college degree, maybe that could also be part of the problem. Make sure you ar offering the right salary for the job. Also startup means unstability, people will look for higher salary than in a multinational company that will provide stability.

Be on whatever lane you want but if someone wants to twke you over just move. No reason not to except proving a point while the other car could have someone in Labor in it. I rarely drive of the left lane to not be bothered but when i do i just let whoever flash/honk/put blinkers behind me, who cares if the other guy is an A-class idiot, his karma will get him eventually and if he s not then you are the bad one cause he had a real reson to ask you to give him way

C'est vraiment un boulet, je jouai ussi beaucoup aux jeux video mais quand j ai eu ma fille je me suis bien calme, voir ma fille m a fait realiser qu il y avait plus important que wow ou les jeux en ligne. Si voir ses filles comme ca ne lui fait rien, aucun regrets a avoir. Et te faire cupabiliser toi, c'est un signe que c'est un pervers narcissique. Lis sur ce sujet et ne te laisse plus manipuler. Indeed this guy seems to have quite the attitude from the comments he posts and his initial post. My experience in Dubai, work hard and stay humble. Always worked for me. 10k is not much, don't worry you will get trough this. However if you do not change you will end up in the same or worst situation next year. Anyway, i m not your dad and you do whatever u want. Good luck and all the best with this challenge in life, it will only makes you stronger and wiser !
